4 College Freshman

Administration: It is good if you are a good student, rebels would not like this school because they are very observant and will find out sooner or later if you did something wrong.

3 College Freshman

Parking: We have a lot of general parking available spots, but they are far to walk back to dorm or classes.

4 College Freshman

Technology: There are enough computers on campus, but the only thing the computers are usually just in the library and the library closes after 12 a.m.

Athletics: The school has one of the biggest intramural programs in the state, I believe. A lot of people are involved and support the teams.

Weather: So far, it's been mostly hot with some cold days and we're in the middle of November.

Local Area: The school is surrounded by green trees and plants and in the fall it's gorgeous! They have a few sports teams, but intramurals is pretty big here. The closest store is in walking distance and is a vegetarian grocery store/hardware store. Clothes shopping is like half an hour away. The church holds lots of events and activities.

Administration: It's pretty strict on drugs and alcohol most of the time.

Scholarships: I got sufficient financial aid from grants and scholarships from the school itself. I raised my scholarship by $1000 by taking the ACT and getting a good score. I would suggest that you call the financial office nearing the beginning of the school year and ask them if they have any extra aid to give since they should know how much they're giving to the registered students, and they might have some $$ left.

Campus Quality: The fitness center could use more windows, the weight rooms all right, the campus center is nice, and the libraries has four floors with plenty of windows and space. There's not a lot of campus traditions, but there's a lot of intramurals.

Technology: They let you print for free, the internet works really fast if you have the cable, and you probably might want a printer if you don't want to run to the library late at night.

Academics: They have a TLC where you get tutoring and help for classes, the library and the campus center are really popular places for studying, but you need to register early for classes because they fill up very quickly.

Academics: I'm currently doing a double major in Exercise Science and Music. The faculty and students in the music department are very approachable and helpful and they really care about you. It's like an extended family. The faculty in exercise science department are also really helpful and kind. Some seem unapproachable, but once you know them they're really amazing people.

Parking: You don't need a car on campus unless you live in Mcreynolds or Nichol Hall, or if you are in aviation

4 College Freshman

Campus Quality: Overall the facilities at PUC are good. The library and campus center are nice and are good places to hang out.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The financial aid at PUC is pretty good. They understand that it is somewhat expensive to attend school there and try to help you as much as they can.

Off-Campus Housing: It is almost impossible to live off-campus. PUC is isolated on a hill and off the hill, almost everything around is wineries and hotels or bed and breakfasts; not many places to live.

Guys & Girls: There is a good variety of people on campus. The people here are pretty attractive, smart, and outgoing

Overall Experience: PUC is a good school. The academics, social life, and community are all great. The main negative is the location.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The food at PUC is average. A huge negative is the fact that they don't serve meat at all on campus, because of the religious affiliation. There are only about three options for lunch and dinner and generally one option for breakfast and late dinner.

5 College Freshman

Academics: The overall academics at PUC are great. They have great professors and the registration process is super easy. Also, you almost always get the classes you want. PUC is great for any type of health major.

3 College Freshman

Academics: For my specific major it is not great here. They recently added a new major, History, Political Studies, and Ethics, which acts as their Poli Sci major. The History Department is good and so are the professors. The curriculum is also good.

1 College Freshman

Greek Life: There is no Greek life at PUC and it is not allowed on campus.

3 College Freshman

Parking: The parking permit was free for Freshmen this year which was great, BUT Freshmen parking is HORRIBLE. The three lot options are all far from the male dorms. The good thing is you can park wherever you want from Friday 1pm- Sunday 5pm.

1 College Freshman

Transportation: You NEED a car if you live on campus. It is isolated on a hill, which takes 10-15 minutes to drive up. The closest city is 15 minutes away but is more like a small town. Napa and Santa Rosa are the closest average sized cities and they are both about an hour away. There are no campus shuttles or bus stops but the Student Association occasionally takes students to places on weekends for free.

Campus Housing: The campus housing at PUC is overall average. The buildings are old and the rooms are pretty small. There is a curfew time (for those 20 and under) and there are room checks so that's a downside.
