Athletics: I go to the distance campus only (online classes), so I have no idea about the athletics at Oregon State University.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: Oregon State University's post bacc computer science program has been pleasantly challenging and very helpful.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Smaller town feel with everything that any college student could ever want.

Overall Experience: I've only been to the school once so far, for orientation. But the staff was super helpful and thorough, the campus was beautiful, and everyone I have met so far who is associated with the school says the most wonderful things about it.

Administration: We have 1 very small dorm on campus. There is serious tragedy or crime in the news about every term. Oct 2014 Student gets attempted murder stabbing roommate. Last summer drug overdose. The hang out for under age drinkers. This is just the perception of an off-campus student.

Health & Safety: They act tough and unfriendly like rent-a-cops and lot to fine you for anything, Appeals never get accepted.

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of cart options, some affordable ethnic food, and the usual chains.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Greek life is not a big presence.

3 College Junior

Party Scene: There are choices for music all week, frequently with access for minors.

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: Location is a big deal-- Bend is beautiful, the Cascade mountains and lakes are right here, and there are many sunny days to enjoy them.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: The campus is still physically part of the community college, with very little on-site living. Drug and alcohol use takes place elsewhere.

Academics: There are currently fewer options than at the Corvallis campus, but the quality of teaching is very high.

Weather: Lots of sun. Long winters, but if you ski, that's a plus.

Local Area: It is a friendly town with lost of outdoor recreation opportunities. Cost of living can be a little high, and while public transportation is available, it is still developing. The university is expanding to a four-year campus, which should change everything.
