4 College Junior

Local Area: Growing up in Dallas, I was a little hesitant to move to Tulsa, worrying that I would have nothing to do, but I found quite the opposite! There are lots of options for both city and country- you just have to be a little creative and know where to look!

4 College Junior

Local Area: Tulsa is a good city with plenty of opportunities; you just have to look for them.

3 College Junior

Local Area: Tulsa is a fairly safe city, but there are a few drawbacks that make me want to live elsewhere.

4 College Sophomore

Local Area: Tulsa is a large city with all kind of fun things to do. There are plenty of parks, some museums and galleries, plenty of shopping and the city doesn't have a very bad crime rate.

Tulsa is known by many as the buckle of the Bible Belt. And it’s not a surprise—there are tons of mega-churches here, including Victory, Church on the Move, Rhema, and Grace. Needless to say, there is a large Bible-believing population in Tulsa.

While Tulsa is not a ridiculously huge city, it is fairly easy to find something fun to do here. Some things that students like to do in Tulsa are watch a movie at the Dollar Cinema, head to RiverWalk Crossing, which is home to numerous restaurants and stores, or catch a live music performance at one of the many venues, like the Performing Arts Center, Cain’s Ballroom, or the BOK Center. Some of the most fun things to do are attend fundraising events held by local missions teams. Overall, the Tulsa locals are friendly toward students, and this is a safe and scenic area.
