Party Scene: Not many crazy parties, but there are social events all the time

Campus Food: Food is ok. Not much fresh fruit and limited variety

3 College Junior

Athletics: The facility is small. Since every student is required to take an HPE every semester, it caters to a variety of needs. The school spirit is low. There is a stigma about athletes

4 College Junior

Administration: I think honor code is a good standard to live by. It has certainly influenced me in a positive way.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: The school is just flat out expensive. There's no two ways about it.

Party Scene: There isn't a party scene on campus at ORU. That isn't what we are here for. Social experience is still very good. The typical ORU student isn't worried about a party scene. I'd say the party scene could be replaced with missions and outreach. We get turnt for that.

Campus Food: At a small university, you can't expect to have that many options. Of course pricing is outrageous and you're essentially trapped in it. But what we have is good and it works for the time being.

5 College Junior

Campus Housing: The rooms are far superior to any other residential halls at any other university I have seen. You miss out on part of the experience of going to ORU if you live off campus.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: The aerobics center is amazing! It's just like going to the gym with multiple courts, racquetball courts, workout rooms, the track and a pool!

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: I love that there are several restaurants close to campus! I love McAlisters!

5 College Sophomore

Administration: The administration is amazing! They make my experience the best that it could be! It's amazing and I love the honor code!

5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: They offer Quest Whole Person Scholarships to all students! Make sure that you check it out!

5 College Sophomore

Party Scene: We have a lot of social events on campus that are really fun and something that you don't want to miss!

4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: The cafeteria food is really good and you have several options to eat with Sodexo bucks at restaurants on campus!

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I love the housing! We have really nice rooms and I feel extremely safe on campus!

4 College Freshman

Athletics: From what I've seen, they're good.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I don't go out much.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: The people were very helpful but it's still a pain

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Sometimes the food is great, other times it's meh.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The rooms are spacious and the right amount of socialness and quietness.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: There is a spot for every sport except for football.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: The off campus is fun because it lets you escape the constant stream of university students and opens you up to seeing new people. The food is good and there is a deal at different restaurants every night.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: The school is very upfront with their rules and beliefs. They are restrictive but the things they restrict are not necessary for a fun college experience.

5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Almost anyone who applies for the school Quest Whole Person receives a nice monetary reward for school costs. It was easy and a great interview experience and way to learn more about the heart of the university. Financial Aid was not something I dealt with until I got an on campus job; at that time it was simple and the office was great at being quick to respond to all emails and visits.

Nearly everyone at ORU said that if they had to make their college decision all over again, they would still choose this university. Students give high marks to the strong Christian community here, and say that the professors and students are approachable, kind, and helpful. Another positive is the size of the school—it’s easy enough to get personal attention from the teachers, but the school is still large enough that you’ll regularly be able to meet lots of new, unique people.

Overall, Oral Roberts University is a great place for anyone who has a strong desire to become spiritually awake, intellectually alert, physically disciplined, professionally competent, and socially adept!
