Academics: Great Real-Life Experience – Oral Roberts University School of Business provides lots of opportunities to get plugged into networking opportunities and meet all sorts of business professionals, from HR coordinators to CEOs to investors. Getting involved in clubs related to your major is a really good idea. The workload is a little difficult in upper-level business courses, but is manageable if you follow your degree plan-sheet. Make sure you take the classes in the correct order. Also make sure to do at least one internship, and two or three would be great.

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of Options – Tulsa has all the major fast food chains as well as dine-in restaurants. There is no lack of restaurants around the campus, and I would recommend Casa Bonita for great Mexican food. Ihop is pretty much the only restaurant open after midnight.

Campus Food: Saga Meal Tradition – The food is great at the dining hall, but can become a little repetitious. However, it has become a hangout spot for students, and sometimes they'll do special events there, such as carnivals where they offer free cotton candy and caramel apples, or international cuizine nights. Besides the dining hall, ORU also has a Chick-fil-A on campus, as well as a Freshens (smoothies), a coffee house, and a deli. They also offer flexible meal options in that you can balance the monetary amount of your meal plan between meals in the dining hall and the other on-campus options.

Academics: Excellent School of Business – Oral Roberts University has great business professors and high academics. Some of the courses are incredibly challenging, but very worth it. Senior paper is particularly challenging, allowing students to present business ideas in front of a real group of investors, write business plans for their own businesses, and even provide business consulting for local establishments. Prepare to grow!

Guys & Girls: Guys and Girls Are Rather Nice – One might enjoy a "Christian" atmosphere. If a person is looking for a spouse with moral value one could possible have hope in acquiring that. Although there are exceptions.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking is somewhat difficult to those unable to park in "lower lot." Which is a parking zone for the privileged. Otherwise one has to park on "upper lot" which is a good distance away.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Easy Access to Amenities – The dorms among other amenities are always open at appointed times. I love the social atmosphere but somewhat show reluctance because of the religious nature of the campus.

5 College Senior

Drug Safety: It Is a Dry Campus – There is an honor code that does not allow drinking or drugs; however, as always, there are students involved. For the most part, it is a clean school.

3 College Senior

Campus Food: You Can Find Something You Like. There are always options, it may get repetitive after a year, but you will never be hungry.

5 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Many Places to Visit – There are so many places to eat out because Tulsa is a college city. There are places to match everyone's style and mood.

4 College Senior

Parking: There is enough room to find parking, and reasonable locations for on-campus students and commuters.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: Process Could Be More Informative – I did receive a decent amount of Financial Aid, but there are many more opportunities you only hear about through other people when it is too late.

5 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Many Delicious Food Places Close by – There are lots of food places right around campus. Sonic, taco bell, braums for fast food; Cheesecake Factory and other nice sit down restaurants close too.

4 College Senior

Scholarships: Many students have a full-ride. I know a lot of people there on scholarship. They try to work with you as best they can.

2 College Senior

Party Scene: There aren't very many opportunities to go out and party, but I know a few students who make to a couple clubs close to campus.

3 College Senior

Campus Food: Lots of Buffet Options, but Gets Old and Crowded – You can only eat in the cafeteria (4 meals/day) or the Chickfila or deli. But food outside the cafeteria is expensive.

3 College Junior

Administration: Oral Roberts University is a Christian university so it tends to not be a party school. Each year, students are given the Honor Code to sign which states that the student is agreeing to not engage in getting drunk, drug use, or any sexual activity. If these rules are followed, your time at ORU is quite pleasant.

Academics: Help Is Always Available – At Oral Roberts the academics are very challenging which is great. When it does get challenging there are always tutors that can help.

1 College Sophomore

Party Scene: At Oral Roberts there is basically no nightlife. There is a curfew at 1:30 AM, and everything in the city of Tulsa closes around 8 or 9 PM.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Public transportation at Oral Roberts are not the best. The best transportation is cars.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Social Atmosphere – The upperclassmen dorms at Oral Roberts University are great because it is well balanced. Students are able to have time for themselves, and also time with other students.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: In Undergrad, I'd lived in Claudius, old but homey.

5 College Junior

Nearly everyone at ORU said that if they had to make their college decision all over again, they would still choose this university. Students give high marks to the strong Christian community here, and say that the professors and students are approachable, kind, and helpful. Another positive is the size of the school—it’s easy enough to get personal attention from the teachers, but the school is still large enough that you’ll regularly be able to meet lots of new, unique people.

Overall, Oral Roberts University is a great place for anyone who has a strong desire to become spiritually awake, intellectually alert, physically disciplined, professionally competent, and socially adept!
