Athletics: The athletic at Oral Roberts University are the best in what I hear. I am an online student that does not know much about them except through reading.

Overall Experience: At Oral Roberts University has been a tremendous blessing to me. From the founder's vision-Oral Roberts, to the teachers. I have never meet so many polite, kind, caring, teachable, understanding, loving, sensitive, generous, staff in my life. They all believe in excellence and equality. I have thank the Lord every week for allowing these teachers to be apart of my life. From day one, I have learned so much, in which I have shared majority of my studies with friends and family.

Being 44 years of age, I was very nervous about going back to school, but I want to be an example to my kids to complete their education. Education now is so important and why not let it begin with them seeing "mama" complete my degree.

This school is the 'BEST SCHOOL I HAVE EVER ATTENDED!" I will welcome everyone to be a part of this great ministry. Because that is what it is. A school of excellence and wholeness. Being whole in your spirit, soul and mind. I love it!

Blessings,

Yolanda

Health & Safety: Security very active on campus. Crime is extremely low and caution is taken from Tornadoes all the way to sexual assault.

Overall Experience: I feel like being at ORU I have grown in every aspect of my life. Professors challenged me intellectually, but didn't set me up for failure. I was challenged to grow in my faith and the means to grow in my faith were there.

Overall Experience: ORU is truly setting you up to go outside the school and be a productive member in society. They have multiple opportunities to look for jobs and learn how to apply for jobs. While going through your degree the teach you what the process of getting a job in your field will look like.

Campus Housing: ORU may not have the most up to date housing everywhere, but the atmosphere of the dorms is awesome and the rooms are comfortable.

Overall Experience: ORU like every school has its issues, but overall I think it's a great school. The students and staff are friendly and the education is worth the cost. Students truly do matter to the professors and they are there to help you succeed. You'r not just a number at ORU. If your looking to grow in your faith at ORU, you will. The Christian values and mindset are woven into the classes, and you deal with real life issues, problems, and questions with biblical values.

Campus Housing: the community of each floor is awesome, and while the proximity to most classes isn't super close, it's great for excercise.

Athletics: Student involvement and school spirit is pretty big, especially for intramurals!

Overall Experience: It's a great place to make lifelong friendships, and become an expert in the field you intend to pursue!

Athletics: If Billy Wilson would allow us to put more emphasis on sports and maybe change the way certain things are run (give more money to sports other than basketball) then we might have more people at our school

Party Scene: Nightlife at ORU generally consists of students enjoying fellowship over movies, food, and/or homework. I have had little exposure to unhealthy party scenes, and I'm grateful to ORU for my experience. With the discouragement of alcohol and parties comes the opportunity to build stronger relationships with my friends on campus as we converse and get to know each other on a deeper level. Thus, the nightlife at ORU may lack what public institutions thrive on, but I'm thankful for it.

Party Scene: Once again, if parties take place on campus, they solely involve music, games, food, and fellowships. They are known to be healthy social events, and no illegal activity takes place, therefore, they have an extremely positive impact on the students.

Academics: Students who attend ORU are encouraged to pursue excellence through their pursuit of higher education. Colleges of theology, business, education, science, and nursing alike each prepare their students for successful careers through real-world applications in the forms of seminars, student-led presentations, year-long practical projects and clinical rotations. Workloads can be heavier, but the professors help the students practice discipline, and they are very encouraging. Tutors are offered for almost every class, and teachers are generally quite accessible after classes for help and guidance. Overall, ORU students are trained to be diligent and skilled students.

Nearly everyone at ORU said that if they had to make their college decision all over again, they would still choose this university. Students give high marks to the strong Christian community here, and say that the professors and students are approachable, kind, and helpful. Another positive is the size of the school—it’s easy enough to get personal attention from the teachers, but the school is still large enough that you’ll regularly be able to meet lots of new, unique people.

Overall, Oral Roberts University is a great place for anyone who has a strong desire to become spiritually awake, intellectually alert, physically disciplined, professionally competent, and socially adept!
