Off-Campus Dining: Tulsa is pretty good about food place. There is a huge selection of places to eat that a all located within about a 5 mile radius of the campus. So driving to a place is no big deal. There also is a place very near like ihop and Qdoba that offer awesome deals on food for students.

Weather: We like to use the term "bipolar." Generally, the weather adheres to the expected temperatures of the season, but in the transition between the hot and cold months, the weather gets a little confused and will very quickly alternate between hot, cold, rain, and snow (depending on the time of the year.)

Drug Safety: I have no direct evidence of any drug or alcohol use on campus. The honor code prohibits the consumption of alcohol and the improper use of medications.

Guys & Girls: If you come to ORU, then you are a type of person that takes God seriously, as well as your faith. The only issues are when you are either very picky, or the person you are interested in is very picky. There are a lot of people at ORU that are very devout to their beliefs, and some that aren't. Both people types fit here, so there is something for everyone. If you leave ORU with a bad taste in your mouth, you focused on the wrong thing.

Health & Safety: Security is always around campus, there is little to no crime. Students are responsible.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The academics is great. The professors challenge you. They strive to teach you and help you grow as a student. The course work is not necessarily easy, but it's not so hard you can't manage. They want you to do your best and improve yourself.

Diversity: There are people from so many countries here. It's amazing. I love it. Personally and collectively, people are very accepting of the different cultures.

Guys & Girls: Talk about a diverse campus. You have all kinds of personalities and backgrounds here. Not to mention the cultures due to a certain person's hometown or country. Everyone is very friendly and open. It's a good environment.

Campus Housing: There are various housing options available. For an extra fee there are even some girls dorms available with a bathroom. They're kept pretty darn clean, not how you might picture a "typical" college dorm. The older the dorm building, the closer to everything else on campus, but I personally don't mind the extra walk.

Diversity: There is vast diversity on campus. We have nationalities from every country in the world.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: The spirit for the sports here at Oral Roberts is not a major part of the life on campus. However, it is not overwhelming and enjoyable.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: Not much nightlife to talk about. But if you were looking for nightlife, try TU.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking costs 50 dollars just for upper lot. And there's not much room.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Pretty good. I don't utilize it because I'm a commuter.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Pretty good options. Can't go wrong with a Chic Fil A and a Moe's. The dining hall is average, and usually has good food. Unless it's a chapel day. Then steer clear.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I haven't had to use any of the health services yet but from what I've heard they are good. And the security on campus is good and does their best to keep everyone safe.

4 College Sophomore

Parking: The parking here is very reasonable. It's a little bit of a walk but it's not a big deal.

Local Area: From what I've seen Tulsa is a good city. It's not quite the big city but it's no where near a little town either. There are coffee shops everywhere which is nice. And many different churches too. There are a couple nice museums to visit too.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Oral Roberts doesn't tolerate drug use, so unless your seeking it out, you really wont ever see anyone using or effected by drugs.

2 College Sophomore

Transportation: There really isn't a lot of transportation options, but many students have cars and are very willing to get you where you need to go. But I would recomend getting a car if possible.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Almost everyone I know is recieving some money in scholarships, mostly from the Whole Person Scholarship. There are also plenty of academic scholarships based on your standardized test scores, and talent scholarships for art and music and such.

4 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking on campus is extremely easy. The only thing that gave it an A- and not a higher grade is that not all of the parking lots are open for students.

5 College Senior

Scholarships: I love this college. Apply for everything offered.

Campus Quality: In January of 2013, ORU built a new Student Center on Campus. It comes with Moe's Southwestern Grill, the largest Television screen in Oklahoma (we watched the Superbowl on it and it was amazing). It has pool tables, air hockey, and ping pong. It comes with two XBOX's and Wii's. It is a massive building and very modern.

5 College Senior

Transportation: ORU is a small campus that transportation provided by the school is only offered to and from the airport. The times are very gracious and you can always get a ride. Students are required to live on campus unless they are 1) Married; 2) Over the age of 25; or 3) Live in Tulsa with their parents.

Nearly everyone at ORU said that if they had to make their college decision all over again, they would still choose this university. Students give high marks to the strong Christian community here, and say that the professors and students are approachable, kind, and helpful. Another positive is the size of the school—it’s easy enough to get personal attention from the teachers, but the school is still large enough that you’ll regularly be able to meet lots of new, unique people.

Overall, Oral Roberts University is a great place for anyone who has a strong desire to become spiritually awake, intellectually alert, physically disciplined, professionally competent, and socially adept!
