College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I have not had the opportunity to go out and enjoy what off campus dining Tulsa has to offer. My favorite off campus place is Qdoba's. They have very high quality food, and it's a nice place to go to when wanting to go off campus for food.

Administration: The administration has it's issues. When it comes to snow days, ORU has only cancelled for a day and a half this semester and we have had several inches of snow. Other than that, I have no complaints about the administration. They are very caring and they take time to get to know the students on a level that larger colleges don't.

Scholarships: The school will bend over backwards to get you the financial aid you need, but you have to go to them first otherwise they do not know if you are in need of financial aid. My first year of college has been completely paid for with the help of the financial aid office at ORU.

Party Scene: Oral Roberts University has every student sign an honor code during the first chapel of every new school year. In this honor code, students are required to agree to no drinking, no sexual activity, and no drugs. With that being said, there is no party life on campus at all.

Campus Food: Though the campus dining hall, "saga," may not be the best, the workers always seem to try their hardest with having a lot of variety for each meal. There are days where the food is excellent, and other days where it is not as good. The Chick-Fil-A on campus does not have a lot of variety when it comes to meals, but they are very convenient when you just have to grab food and go, or when you want something other than saga. They are inexpensive as well, and the food is always good. We also have Moe's on campus, and though it can get to be very expensive, it's definitely the best quality food we have on campus. There are several meal options there.

Campus Housing: All of the dorms feel like home. They aren't made with tile floors and brick walls that your typical college dorm room consists of. Depending on the dorm building you choose to live in, that will determine how large your room will be. Overall, the rooms are very decently sized.

Athletics: The teams have a great flow and get along great. the fans support the teams. The athletic facilities are really good, the facilities stay clean and are up to-date.

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus living is great. You don't have curfew and all the restrictions.

Off-Campus Dining: i would rather eat off campus there is more options and the food is better.

4 College Freshman

Administration: They are very strict on most every thing.

2 College Freshman

Party Scene: there are no party's here so i cant describe the party scene

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: There needs to be more restaurants we can chose from to eat so we don't have to drive around Tulsa looking for food.

Campus Housing: the dorms are great! they stay clean, everyone on the floor gets along. The rooms are a decent size. One thing we need is to be able to bring our own couches into the dorm.

College Junior

Greek Life: I don't know anything about Greek life on campus.

Overall Experience: Again, it's mostly about the professors for me. They do a great job, even if the school format is a little disorganized.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The professors are great, if you are truly interested in learning something instead of wasting your time. Pay attention during class and make some effort and it should turn out okay.

College Junior

Guys & Girls: I do not want to date anyone right now, so I wasn't really paying much attention to things like that.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: Not too many choices, at least, not for my tastes.

College Junior

Campus Housing: I do not live on campus.

4 College Junior

Majors: It's relatively easy to study what you want and to change your major if you decide to.

3 College Junior

Administration: As long as you are willing to work with the administration and you know what you are getting yourself into by going to a Christian school, it's not a bad experience.

Off-Campus Housing: Mostly because it's such a hassle to get approved by the school to live off-campus

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of options.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: It does the job that you need it to, but isn't worth the money you're having to pay for it. Caludius and EMR are definitely the social dorms, but are incredibly crammed and run-down. Towers are a nice alternative, but don't expect to build as many relationships with the people around you over there. It's a nice quiet place to move when you are established socially and need a quieter space because of your class load.

Scholarships: Financial aid is always a headache, especially when dealing with federal aid, but the university is very helpful and will bend over backwards to ensure that every student receives the financial aid they need in order to stay at the university!

Nearly everyone at ORU said that if they had to make their college decision all over again, they would still choose this university. Students give high marks to the strong Christian community here, and say that the professors and students are approachable, kind, and helpful. Another positive is the size of the school—it’s easy enough to get personal attention from the teachers, but the school is still large enough that you’ll regularly be able to meet lots of new, unique people.

Overall, Oral Roberts University is a great place for anyone who has a strong desire to become spiritually awake, intellectually alert, physically disciplined, professionally competent, and socially adept!
