Academic Flexibility: There were science classes (anatomy and physiology) which I had taken before, but the time elapsed between them was too long and I was forced to re-take them. When I did, I received a 4.0 GPA. I feel as though I could have saved time if I was able to use my existing credits instead of re-taking them. I had no other problems transferring credits.

Online Courses: I feel like there should be more online class offerings, being a community college, however I am pleased with the online classes that I did complete, and would take them again online.

Career Services: Getting the job listing is difficult, but once I was able to access the job list, it was easy to see what was available.

Overall Experience: I had some great classes at OC, and some which were not so great. I appreciate in-class discussion to help solidify concepts, and attending a lecture is fine so long as it is engaging. I like to feel as though I am part of a conversation, and I appreciate when professors ask questions, or clarify points when they are asked about them without making the student feel stupid for asking.

Overall Experience: People who graduate from the OC nursing program have no trouble finding jobs, and are often hired on at the clinical sites. The school has a good reputation.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: The nursing program at my school is rigorous, but rewarding. The teachers encourage critical thinking, and push students to achieve their best. They are always there to answer questions or give advice.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I chose this school because it is convenient, and very close to home home and work. I chose community college specifically to save money on tuition, and to have more flexible class offerings. OC has very helpful instructors, and most all of them are very driven to help students succeed.

Online Courses: I had an overall bad experience due to my procrastination and inability to afford the textbook. In the end, it worked out, luckily. I'd rather not talk about it.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Some classes felt incredibly unorganized and others had a lot of structure. I enjoy the variety, truthfully. I'm glad I started with Running Start because some of the classes I attended I feel like I would not have chosen to pay for because of the lack of structure. It's mostly getting by but it can also be enjoyable, mostly depending on the professor.

Academic Experience: I'm still navigating where I want to go, I am "dipping my toes in the water." Environmental Anthropology has turned me around in a few ways and I am excited to learn more and see where my newfound interests will take me academically.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: They could do better in respecting the pronouns of non-cisgender students. I have a friend who has been sexually harassed numerous times and she is a 16 year old Running Start student and I feel like they could have done better in protecting her. Not enough time to make friends it sometimes feels like. A lot of people I dislike go here but it's tolerable. Hartse and Digby were wonderful professors.

Overall Experience: Running start office ladies are super helpful!

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Lots of specified programs and specialties

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: The quality of the courses are pretty average, sometimes it depends on the professor. The professors are very diverse; some are great and others are not. There are a variety of classes offered so that you can obtain your degree as quickly as possible. Class sizes are mostly average-small, which allows for class-interaction and more time with the professor.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Most degrees from this schools will transfer easily to another school without hassle. The school mostly offers AA degrees, so there are not a lot of recruiters/prospects upon graduation. Most students choose to transfer to another college to finish their bachelor's.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: The online courses are either discussion-oriented and engaging, or a lot of book-work and quizzes. The online portals that the professors use to manage work and grades is very user-friendly and straight-forward. Online courses are not as interpersonal as the classroom, and it will be a lot of self-learning, but it is also very convenient.

2 College Senior

Career Services: Most students only obtain their AA from OC and transfer elsewhere to finish their bachelor's. There are not many career opportunities following graduation.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: There is a large variety of classes offered every quarter or the year. There is diversity among the professors; some are great and others are not. Depending on the course, there can be a demand and a long waitlist (mostly for science courses where there are limited seating and classes available), or there can be small and intimate class sizes. Most are average.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Most students who graduate from this school obtain their AA and transfer to finish their degree at another school. The school offers a large transfer fair every year for prospective transfer students. There are very few bachelor programs, so there are not many employment recruiters/prospects.

Academic Experience: Nursing is one of the top programs at Olympic college and thus, is extremely competitive. The pre-nursing program includes the standard prerequisites that prepare you for the most college nursing programs, and is a reasonable workload for an employed student. Olympic college offers many work-study and internship opportunities for those who need to work while attending school.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Olympic College is a good and inexpensive school for new or returning college students pursuing a college education. It offers a small, but diverse community on a newly renovated campus. People of all cultures and ages attend this school and succeed.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I am in a general studies major and the amount of classes to choose from are pretty amazing

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The teachers and staff grammy care about their students on a personal level. This is something a big university usually is not able to do.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Olympic college uses a wide array of online teaching resources from their own CANVAS to Pearson technology, ALEKS and more. Teachers vary on how good they are at providing online help, but most course formats are easy to understand and effective.

Career Services: Career services are fantastic at this school. If youre a student looking for a job they have regular job fairs, employment workshops, resume help and many other options. As a current student worker at this school, I fully endorse their career services office as a success for students.
