Campus Food

Campus Food: Chartwells is terrible here, and students frequently get sick, especially when they first come here and their stomachs are adjusting. There is a lot of fried and greasy food. They say they have good options for vegetarians, but it is really only pasta, salad, and fruit. It is even harder for vegans. Smith is disgusting, and the only real option on the weekends. Thomson Store is nice, but everything is way more expensive than at an actual grocery store, and some of the food on the shelves is expired. They do have some good things there though, and it is nice to have that easy option. The Bakery in Hamwil is the best! The workers are really nice and remember the regulars and their orders. Hamwil Cafeteria is okay, but repetitive and greasy. Bishop Cafe is good but takes forever. Stuy Cafe is good and convenient.

Campus Food: We didn't attend college just to eat food. The food here is okay.

Campus Food: People complain about college food and it takes your body about a week to get used to eating at Smith, but it's actually pretty good. Even if the main dishes are sub par that day, I can always find something good to eat, unlike at Hamwil. Hamwil is great for breakfast though. The small food/drink kiosks around campus are extremely helpful on your busy days or if you just want a snack. Food plans have variability for students needs.

Campus Food: The variety is lack and sometimes they try to make fancy food that doesnt turn out well. but we arent here to eat great food so it is enough. as far as options for quick food on the academic side of campus they are great

Campus Food: Food can be really good one day and not too good on other days. It ultimately depends on where you go and what type of food you want.

In recent years, food at Ohio Wesleyan has gotten better. There is a pretty good variety when it comes to food in the dining halls; however, the quality isn't always up to par. But a good thing about Ohio Wesleyan Dining Services is that the workers and University are trying hard to get students' opinions so that they can improve in necessary areas. Smith Hall during lunch is a go-to place for students, even if its dinner options aren't as good. Smith offers buffet-style dining and a brunch on the weekends, too. The Hamilton-Williams Campus Center offers three meal times per day and many different food options. There is a small bakery that offers delicious fresh muffins, bagels, and every drink imaginable. Thomson (no "p"!) Hall offers Thomson Convenience Store, a small but hugely overpriced convenience store. It does come in handy, though, as it offers Gatorade, ramen noodles, and other midnight snacks that can be paid for with food points.

The biggest complaint about campus dining is that students cannot use their food points at any off-campus restaurants. Students would like the option to take a break from campus food, but with the current policy, that is a pricey alternative. One cannot argue that for a small school, a good number of dining options do exist.
