Athletics: Seriously? We are #1 in almost every sport, that should be enough to explain my answer.

Off-Campus Dining: The off campus dining is good but the prices are a bit too high.

Administration: The administration is good but there are things that they need to change.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: After awarding me sufficient amounts for my classes in previous years, my financial aid was limited only because I was coming close to my limit which honestly does not make any sense to me because financial aid should not be limited for students.

Campus Food: The union market food is really good, only thing is that the catering is not good food.

Campus Housing: The dorms should be a lot bigger if 6-8 students are going to be in there. In other words, the dorms are very small.

Overall Experience: Ohio State is amazing. Everyone here is truly proud to be a Buckeye. There is endless opportunity to pursue anything you can imagine. Football Saturdays are the best days of your life bar none. If you come here and take advantage of what Ohio State has to offer I promise you that you won't regret it.

Overall Experience: I've had some of the best professors I've ever experienced here. They generally seem to be passionate about there work and helping students grow their passions as well. Some of the general education classes seem pointless and even some within my program but you just have to weather them at times. Chemistry is a BEAR no matter what level you take it on so be ready for that.

Overall Experience: I was a transfer student and had no problem getting into all my classes and figuring out how the program worked.

Athletics: This is where Ohio State shines. OSU football is life here. Columbus shuts down on football Saturdays and the Buckeyes are all that matter. This is the reason you come to OSU. All of my best days as a buckeye were football game days. Athletic facilities are top notch as well for both varsity sports and for the student body. RPAC is an amazing facility although usually crowded. Intramurals are a lot of fun and generally well set up.

Off-Campus Housing: A lot of the houses are old and worn down but that adds to the experience if you ask me. They fill up fast so start to figure out where you are going to live the following year ASAP. If you're going to get a good location you have to jump on it very quickly and most likely know the people already living there. The best strategy is to go door to door and ask people if they are moving out and if so if you can look at the house. If you like it let them know you want it and try to contact the landlord. Can't emphasize enough that if you want a good house and location you must get started early. Also they are a bit pricey but it's supply and demand.

Off-Campus Dining: In the campus area I'd say you can find any type of food you would like. Late night everyone goes to Cane's, Pizza by the Slice, Apollo's (Gyros), or Jimmy Johns.

5 College Junior

Party Scene: There is something for everyone on pretty much every night of the week. If you can't find what you want to do you aren't looking hard enough.

2 College Junior

Scholarships: I transferred in and it was frustrating that I couldn't get the scholarships available to freshmen.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: At high traffic times it can be a pain waiting in line for food but other than that it is usually pretty tasty although most of it isn't very good for you.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of options right on High and Lane, which makes them easily accessible.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: Academic policies are normal, no cheating or plagiarizing. Also, campus is tobacco free. Other than that, there's pretty much complete freedom here.

There is a reason the Buckeye Nation is considered to be so devoted; an overwhelming love for OSU is evident in student responses, and in the loyalty of alumni to their alma mater. Each person has his or her own reasons for loving the University, and there are quite a few of them. Some students feel that the academics are top-notch and have found exactly the programs they wanted; others lean toward the athletic success of the Buckeye teams, while some just feel that the friendships and bonds they have made are enough to make their tenure at OSU worthwhile. At any rate, everyone can agree that being a Buckeye creates a special bond between you and nearly 50,000 other students, which you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Once you get past the sheer size of the University, it will really become a second home. After only a quarter of classes, you won't be able to cross the Oval without seeing someone you know. Ohio State is truly the smallest large university you will find. The people are known for their friendly attitudes, and alumni are scattered across the nation. If you choose to go to OSU, you're choosing a school with a name that's well known, both in the workplace and in the college community. Few students ever regret their time at Ohio State, and most consider their college experience to be among the best offered in the Big Ten and the country.
