Administration: It's okay, but honestly it seems like the school is more focused on research rather than student success.

Off-Campus Dining: Some are cost friendly, but convenience is the always nice.

Party Scene: I don't really like parties. However the party's include alcohol, music and lots of dancing.

Administration: The resident assistants do a great job in keeping the rules in dorm. Parking rules are very strict and can easily get a parking ticket if you do not park at the right location or parking meter runs out.

Majors: I have not had an internship yet. However I will need to do one at the end of my senior year. I am worried about finding he right internship. However my professors are a great help in guiding me to the one I am most suited for

Athletics: Osu football is big at OSU. It's a great experience to be part of in the block O and definitely keeps the buckeye pride on top notch.

Health & Safety: Campus security is great. We have emergency buttons throughout campus in case of emergency. Students receives e-mail when a threat or accident or danger occurs near or on campus warning students to take caution

Scholarships: Financial aid really helped me pay for school and not have to worry about the cost as much. Financial did allowed me to focus on school and not have to work during the school year. I would definitely look at the Osu scholarship website for possibly scholarships you can get

Campus Housing: Living on campus is great! Very convenient for school and allows me to get to meet and know new people. The housing process is very understandable and is very considerate about trying to get students to the dorms that the student prefers and the roommate(s) they want.

Guys & Girls: All different varieties. I fall in love about 5 or 6 times before I even get to class.

Diversity: If you come from a small prominently white farm town like I do, then OSU is going to be a huge culture shock. I love all the diversity. But talking to a lot of students from places like New York City, Dallas, Columbus, San Francisco, and Chicago OSU isn't very diverse. There may be a lot of different races on campus but it is still divided. There is mostly asians and whites. typically, whites hang out with whites, asians with asians, and blacks with blacks/latinos. I try my best to go out of my normal friend group and hang out with other people as much as possible, which has become an amazing experience for me and opened my eyes to so many different things.

Health & Safety: On campus I feel completely safe. Off campus is another story. Its best to be walking with another person at night and always have your phone on you. Avoid dark areas and sketchy people.

Campus Housing: On campus dorms and apartments are overall very nice. Best dorms for having a bathroom and air-conditioning in your room is north Campus. North Campus is almost completely brand new dorms and close to classes. West Campus dorms are old, far from everything and have very little natural light. The social life in the west campus dorms is amazing because of the way the building is setup. If you love to socialize these are great dorms. Also includes air-conditioning and bathroom in your room. South Campus dorms are fairly new, depending on what building you get. The social atmosphere is nice as well. Mostly the partiers and art students. Apartments are very nice. Expensive but very nice. Also, have a gender inclusive housing option in some of the nicest apartments on campus.

Greek Life: Coming from a town located near Miami University, I think that greek life here doesn't compare to Miami's. Which is one reason I chose this school. Its there if you're interested in it, and if you are not, it doesn't affect you at all.

Party Scene: If you want to party, you can most definitely find it here. The great thing about OSU is that they are very eye opening for white farm town kids like me. They have so many categories of parties. I've been the parties that are mainly Asian, Black, White, Fraternities, Queer, Latino, and all in-between. Its a blast experiencing other cultures, identities and lifestyles. There are also a ton of people, and things to do if you aren't into partying. We have a nighttime nerf gun mafia that goes on for a few days in the fall. So much fun!

Majors: There are almost unlimited majors at this school! And most of them are either the best in the state or in the country! People from all over the world come to OSU because of the majors and programs they offer! If you aren't sure what to major in, coming here would be very beneficial because of all the opportunities.

Athletics: Whether you like football or not, you can still enjoy all the activities going on during game days. The entire city stops for the OSU football games. It is a big deal and the best season of the year. The pre gaming, tailgating, and after parties are amazing. Can't beat the experience at any other school!

There is a reason the Buckeye Nation is considered to be so devoted; an overwhelming love for OSU is evident in student responses, and in the loyalty of alumni to their alma mater. Each person has his or her own reasons for loving the University, and there are quite a few of them. Some students feel that the academics are top-notch and have found exactly the programs they wanted; others lean toward the athletic success of the Buckeye teams, while some just feel that the friendships and bonds they have made are enough to make their tenure at OSU worthwhile. At any rate, everyone can agree that being a Buckeye creates a special bond between you and nearly 50,000 other students, which you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Once you get past the sheer size of the University, it will really become a second home. After only a quarter of classes, you won't be able to cross the Oval without seeing someone you know. Ohio State is truly the smallest large university you will find. The people are known for their friendly attitudes, and alumni are scattered across the nation. If you choose to go to OSU, you're choosing a school with a name that's well known, both in the workplace and in the college community. Few students ever regret their time at Ohio State, and most consider their college experience to be among the best offered in the Big Ten and the country.
