3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: I'm just realizing that the bold heading is different from the description and it has been that way for the past couple of questions. Off- Campus dining is fine, not special or great but good enough.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: More buses and routes that include more buildings further from campus like The Schott would be nice.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Campus Parc has high prices and many times the lots fill up requiring you to park in the west campus lots. You can buy the pass for only west campus but when I have to work the spots next to the Schott are for the more expensive pass. The buses don't go to the Schott either.

Party Scene: Everything except the wi-fi is great. You can tell that there are too many students using the bandwidth. I would like some of the software for engineers to be more easily accessible since right now your only options are engineering specific computer labs.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Very monopolized campus when it comes to food. Some outside vendors on campus would be very welcome.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Way too expensive and requiring students to buy a meal plan is greedy. Otherwise proximity to shops/dining is great as well as proximity to on campus jobs.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: There are many different houses all over campus. It is important to start your house hunting early because places fill up very fast,

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are an endless amount of off-campus dining restaurants. There is a great mix of American, Italian, Asian etc. They ae all very close and convenient to get to.

4 College Junior

Administration: The policies in place are for our safety and help keep everyone safe.

Party Scene: You can always find a party somewhere.

Campus Food: I love the different varieties of food there is to choose from. I never get tired of eating the same thing because the options are limitless.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: The social atmosphere is great. There are always endless things going on. Being that the school is so big, it is easy to meet new people and make friends.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: The football team is basically the center of life at OSU.

Scholarships: You are automatically applied for financial aid when you apply to the school.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: My only complaint is that all of the food is overpriced. Traditional dining is all-you-can-eat, so it's possible to get your money's worth. Overall the food is pretty good.

Campus Housing: The dorms are alright depending on which one you live in. Some of the older dorms, such as Bradley Hall, don't have air conditioning and are just generally in worse than the newer, more expensive dorms on campus. The people are friendly and there is a very social atmosphere. The food on campus is overpriced and if you live on campus you must pay for a meal plan. If you don't use up all of the money on your meal plan you lose it, and sometimes it can be difficult to use all of the money, so many students end up buying up to a hundred dollars worth of food to take home at the end of the semester.

Scholarships: It's great if U have the act scores

Off-Campus Housing: There are several different areas to live off campus...some are bad and some are good. You have to just go around and do your own searching to find a place that will suit you best.

Administration: Theh are very strict when it comes to the fairness of students. For example, cheating is taken very seriously because it is unfair to the other students who didn't cheat to let the cheater off the hook with no punishment.

Guys & Girls: Ohio State University is filled with beautiful people.

Overall Experience: You really need to be able to do your own research if you're a "non-traditional student". The advisors are fine for traditional students, but don't really know what to do with the students who are not following the same traditional path as everyone else.

4 College Junior

Party Scene: Ohio State football - enough said!

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I found a place next year that is right by high street for a decent price and is close to college building

3 College Junior

Scholarships: financial aid process is okay sometimes they do not respond with how much aid you have received for a while sometimes right before the semester starts, but nothing that I has made me have to contact the financial aid office.

There is a reason the Buckeye Nation is considered to be so devoted; an overwhelming love for OSU is evident in student responses, and in the loyalty of alumni to their alma mater. Each person has his or her own reasons for loving the University, and there are quite a few of them. Some students feel that the academics are top-notch and have found exactly the programs they wanted; others lean toward the athletic success of the Buckeye teams, while some just feel that the friendships and bonds they have made are enough to make their tenure at OSU worthwhile. At any rate, everyone can agree that being a Buckeye creates a special bond between you and nearly 50,000 other students, which you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Once you get past the sheer size of the University, it will really become a second home. After only a quarter of classes, you won't be able to cross the Oval without seeing someone you know. Ohio State is truly the smallest large university you will find. The people are known for their friendly attitudes, and alumni are scattered across the nation. If you choose to go to OSU, you're choosing a school with a name that's well known, both in the workplace and in the college community. Few students ever regret their time at Ohio State, and most consider their college experience to be among the best offered in the Big Ten and the country.
