Getting around campus is no problem because everything is within walking distance. For things farther away, students have the option of walking the short distance to the MARTA Station, which is about a mile away. MARTA can take a student to pretty much anywhere that he or she needs to go in Atlanta. There is also a bus stop outside of Oglethorpe's gate, and taxis are easy to find.
If a student has a car, he can traverse the city quite easily. For students without a car, it's not that hard to find someone willing to share a ride. Within a circle of friends at Oglethorpe, normally one or more students will have cars, and of those, several will be willing to assist the non-drivers. Atlanta driving can be pretty intense, though, so drivers should pay careful attention to the roads, signals, and other drivers.
