Overall Experience: I have attended a state college for two years prior to enrolling at OLC. I feel that I wouldn't have finished or enjoyed college as much if I haven't transferred. They are flexible with my busy life schedule as I have 3 children and also work full-time.

Overall Experience: There are many compassionate people who know what your going through with life, jobs, and family life. I always enjoyed going to school and visiting with women my age and also our younger generation. It is school but its home away from home. I am happy I gave HeSapa, rapid city, sd, a chance.n

Tuition & Financial Aid: I owe $19k for my pre-classes at a non-tribal college; I moved and went to a tribal college. Only 3 credits transferred and I do not have to pay any money and I apply for as much as I can of scholarships.

Academic Experience: Oglala Lakota College, He Sapa Center, is an amazing school and amazing teachers. I am so happy that I found this school right away. I enjoy the comfortable library and the custodians make jokes and we all love to laugh. I am looking forward in getting a degree within the next two years. Thank you

Academic Experience: Special study options? I finally got enough nerve to go to the tutor for Math and he is so helpful. The class registering can be done by yourself and/or go to the counselor not at the last minute, but timing means everything. The workload is also what kind of workload there is at home or work combined with the homework. if it is desired, good grades, good return homework has to have at least 3 hrs out of school for each subject, so that = at least 9 hrs of homework time. Don't procrastinate, keep ahead of deadlines.

Academic Experience: The major I have chosen is one of the most popular majors here at the Oglala Lakota College. I have found there are a lot of students who have chosen this major and after graduation there is a lot of job opportunities available to students who have graduated in this field.

Academic Experience: There are a lot of degrees offered here and one of the most sought out degree is in the field of Native American studies. It is very popular and everyone has some type of degree in this field. The counselors here are very helpful and the registration process is easy because of the counselors.

Student Body: The majority of the student body diversity is native American. We live on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and almost all the other students in my classes are Native American.

Overall Experience: The instructors here are somewhat understanding and a few of them do understand the obstacles some of the students face, from taking care of a family, to transportation problems, etc. I am thankful for the instructors I have had and they have all helped me in some way and continue to teach every day. The classes I have taken so far were very influential to the major I am interested in and I am looking forward to finishing my freshman year classes so I can start the more interesting classes and be that much closer to graduating.

Overall Experience: To receive a degree from the Oglala Lakota College is important if you want to work here on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. I have a lot of job experience in the field I am already studying so to have a certificate or degree in the field of your choice will be very rewarding. I am excited to be halfway through my studies and looking forward to finishing the current semester so I can move on to the next. Oglala Lakota College is a small college with only one dormitory and there is one small main campus but with district college centers in each district.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition here is very reasonable and manageable to afford.

Academic Flexibility: No problems at all so far!

Career Services: I heard they really help you try and go further with your education. But I haven't had an opportunity to see that for myself yet.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: The main ethnic group is native americans.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Just because the campus is a small one, the resources are very limited. But we do have an library, student services, and lounge.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The math and science department is currently expanding right now. We have an awesome artifacts room. The people in charge of the department are very amazing people.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The system that is ran here is a very good one. This is a small college but they do make the best of it and I have no problems with how things are ran here.

2 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: In my experience it is very hard to get credits to transfer to the college. There is no flexibility of the classes as some are only offered once a year and the demand for them makes them very hard to get into.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: There isn't really any diversity at the school. Because it is located on the reservation, most of the students are Native American.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid process was simple and my advisor helped me through it. The value of education I am and will be receiving in the future is definantly worth the cost. Especially compared to other schools.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The pre-requisites are very hard to get into and sometimes only available one a year. Once you get into the actual nursing program things seem to be better since the school for nursing is separate.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Some of the professors seem like they don't really know what they are doing or how to teach, its frustrating. It's hard to get into the classes needed. The curriculum and catalog changes to often.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: It's a small school, with not a lot of funding to provide more resources that would be helpful to students.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I know each one of the counselors by name and they are qualified to help with all the students.
