When students at Ocean County College are interested in financial aid, they must first register for a pin by either going to www.pin.ed.gov or by creating a pin when they fill out their FAFSA. After students create a pin, they must then file for their Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also known as FAFSA; this can be done by going online to www.fafsa.ed.gov. Students must make sure to put Ocean County College in the college choice section and then enter the school code (002624).
Within several days of filing the FAFSA online, students will receive, either through email or mail, the Student Aid Report, also known as SAR. If students are New Jersey residents, they should receive a New Jersey Student Eligibility Notice (SEN) within several weeks, notifying them of their eligibility for Tuition Aid Grant, also known as TAG. Finally, within several weeks, students should receive an official award notification from Ocean County College. The award letter will be posted on Ocean County College's WebAdvisor and/or through the mail. In addition, if a student follows this process, then the financial aid process should be a piece of cake, unless the school forgets to process your information in its system.
