4 College Junior

Athletics: It has a great program.

2 College Senior

Athletics: Gym is super small compared to other larger colleges

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: I wish we had a better gym with more seating. A lot of people like to come to the basketball games but with minimal seating it is very hard to do so. Plus being athletic and loving excersise i would want a better facility with better weights and other machinery.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: They have some good teams at Oakwood but the staff are more focus on the ademic status

2 College Sophomore

Athletics: Sports at my school is nothing to brag about. The sports that takes place is usually against classifications rather than "intersec". I believe that there are alot of students who are passionate about sports and has the talent to go far in life with the right motivation but the school lacks the coaching abilities to push them forward. The number of competitions played in a semester against other schools are very limited. I can honestly say that my school is lacking in the sports departmeent.

When it comes to athletics, Oakwood usually comes out on top. Oakwood does not have many sports, but students perform above and beyond for the sports that are available. Oakwood has men's and women's basketball teams, as well as intramural soccer, flag football, and volleyball. With its amazing dunk contests and great season games, the Oakwood Ambassadors basketball teams have proven to be outstanding. The school doesn’t have a lot of games, but when there is a game, most of the students come out to show their school spirit.

Oakwood is not a Division 1 school, so sports are not going to be the biggest thing here, but the basketball team gets a lot of attention and recognition nevertheless. The intramural volleyball teams have also shown great performance, and both have won trophies and made Oakwood proud. The flag football team, also known as the Oakwood Spartans, is the newest team, but many student show interest in it. The practice is fun, and it provides the opportunity to play harmless football.
