Have All Your Documents Ready! I am greatful for the financial aid I have gotten over the past year. It has really heled me focus more on my education instead of worrying about how I will pay for school nearing the end of the semester. When applying for FAFSA it is important that you know before hand, all the documents needed for submission. I learned the hard way that having all your documents and having them in a good while before the dead line not only gets your application results back faster but, if eligible, you get a better sum of money. So don't procrastinate and know all your necessary documents!

Great Community College Experience – Oakton Community College has provided me with a great starting off point! I have had several challenging teachers, across multiple subjects that have inspired me to go in new directions. I have been a member of the honors program since I started, and I really feel that it has pushed me to be more prepared for my next college venture. The facilities are great, and the theater program is fantastic. I will also be utilizing the study abroad program, which is incredible coming from the community college institution.

Since Oakton CC is a small college, and the Skokie even smaller than its sister school, I think the resources here are decent for what it could be. The library has a nice selection on several topics, computer labs are great and have a wide variety of programs. The student center is pretty meh, and the campus itself looks pretty meh, but you can't have it all, I guess!
