1 College Junior

Greek Life: JOKE. It is a joke... like this entire school.

2 College Junior

Athletics: These athletes SWEAR they're good but they suck. The type of kids who would play in high school and only play in college because it's NSU.

Overall Experience: DON'T EVER ATTEND EVER. There are very few teachers that you will gain anything worthwhile from. Seriously. You pay way more than what you get out of it. I wouldn't call the student body bright, focused, or motivated. Do yourself a favor and just don't.

Health & Safety: There hasn't been any campus crimes, no theft, no sexual assault, no battery. Most of the student body do not drink or if they do are only allowed to drink in a certain restaurant on campus or in their room. Public safety cruisers and officers are always around especially at night and we have these telephone box things on campus that can be used to alert public safety in case of an emergency where you are not able to use your cellphone to call them. I feel very safe on campus even walking to my car at night or after a late class.

Campus Housing: I lived in the dorms my freshman year and the hall I was in is called Goodwin. My room was on the fourth floor and the room was a pretty good size. The dorms were either a single or a double but that just meant you either shared or you didn't. Every dorm had a small dresser, a desk and chair and a bed with adjustable height. There was a bathroom inside the room and a closet of a decent size. On the first floor was a kitchen, a living room-ish area with a TV and the laundry room. Each level also had a rec room with a TV and either a Foosball or Table tennis. The atmosphere was nice, you could choose to keep to yourself or hang-out with others. The RAs were very friendly and great about working out problems, they also organized little parties for the floors and whole dorm to get to know each other.

Athletics: I'm not actually part of any sports team but the school always keeps us updated with the times of events like Women's basketball when an where they are playing and how they did. The school shows up with the most people during a home game and there's always a large percent that attend the away games.

Overall Experience: I greatly enjoy my school because the whole staff cares a lot about its students. It's easy to meet with an academic adviser or financial aid any time it's needed and they are always helpful and sympathetic to my troubles. There are a wide variety of clubs to join and people to meet. The Greek fraternities and sororities are always accepting members and are generally nice people. We have many clubs like the Equestrian club, Society of Anime Gaming and Entertainment, Robotics club, Ultimate Frisbee team and recently using Sign Language to convey songs. There's a sports center and classes very day of the week for things like Yoga, Zumba, Spin cycling! I would totally choose Nova again because the teachers really care and they love to talk to students, the academic department is totally helpful if for any reason you needed to change your major and finding classes that work well for their students.

Health & Safety: On my orientation day, the coordinators made a huge deal on campus safety. They have walked us through everything we need to know to stay safe at school and what to do if we are ever in danger. Our safety is their priority.

Greek Life: I have not seen much Greek life during my time at my university. Since I am in the health professions department, we do not see what the regular campus life is like. I do believe however, that the Greek life has some importance to the University.

Athletics: Since I am in the medical field, sports are not my priority. I believe that sports are probably a big part of the campus life but as I am extremely busy 24/7 with the workload I get, I do not pay much attention to the teams.

Overall Experience: My overall experience at NSU is incredible! It is a very hands on environment and makes one really understand the hard work that needs to go into the area one is majoring in. If I could do it all over again I would do it in a heart beat. I would encourage anyone that has the passion to learn about the medical field to go to Nova, it is truly one of the top schools in the Nation.

Drug Safety: Every university has their drug addicts.

Athletics: I don't pay attention to sports much.

Overall Experience: I have not attended my university yet.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Some professors are great and others are horrible. The school needs more variety in professors and should also listen to the students. If a professor used to be considered a good professor and favored but now aren't maybe the university should do something because their methods are not working. Some are not encouraging. There are more bad professors than good professors.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Not much promotion on job/internship. Student has to do a lot of the chasing around, departments and professors wont really help.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Safety is fair. No much that happens

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: Really great housing amenities. Need to fix the housing process though.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Small greek life. No houses

3 College Junior

Athletics: A division two school so most kids do not pay attention to school athletics.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Going to a small school is hard because you are limited to what you can do. The professors aren't horrible but they arent the best as well. Does not seem like a college experience like going to a big state school.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Value - must buy a mandatory declining food plan during the first year or two on campus. Dining costs are extremely high for the variety. Would like to see that an option instead of mandatory.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: I have attended some of the activities. No football on campus which is really nice.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Campus is great. Lots of recreational activities to choose from and many clubs. I like the fact that class numbers are small and small student numbers. Great variety of sports but glad there is no football. Close to the ocean, big cities and many attractions.

4 College Sophomore

Party Scene: The nightlife is mostly for people who procrastinate to do their work or for overacheivers watching netflix, simply hanging out with friends. I know some students who are more active at night to study.
