Your experience at Northwest varies greatly on what your goal is to get out of it. If you are looking to major in ministry, this school is on fire for the Lord and has great resources. If you are looking into music, no doubt you should be here. If you are looking into anything else like business, sports, psychology, criminal justice, medical school, I would consider your options. Although there are some great classes for all of these, due to being such a small liberal arts school, money is invested more into ministry and music than any other program. The Nursing school is improving greatly, though. Northwest is definitely a school where you must be careful to not retain everything you hear and be discerning, for they tend to be a lot of talk and not as much walk. Northwest is great for some, okay for others, and overwhelming and not beneficial to the rest. Check Northwest out and talk to students with similar interests before committing! It could be the place for you, or not at all.

Living in the dorms on campus has been a great experience, much better than I imagined it would be. My RA is awesome, she is constantly organizing floor activities, study nights, and always there for us when we need someone. The roommate system at NU matches you to someone who fits your personality and living habits, obviously there are occasional roommate issues but for the most part everyone gets along great with them!

Northwest University is an incredible school. First, it is not a Christian school by name only; Northwest provides many ways for students to strengthen their relationship with God and to love their community. Second, my school is unique, for it is small, but the community spirit is large. I'm proud to be an Eagle! Third, I would most definitely choose Northwest again; I've even suggested that my good friends attend there. Fourth, the Kirkland area offers many activities for students, and the city has many many coffee shops.
