Excellent Choice for My Freshman Year! I find that staff is informative, positive and encouraging with any questions that I have. Any materials, interests in pursuing a subject further, even finding cheaper textbooks they are very helpful. They have great assistant programs for students with disabilities and single parents. Including their own scholarships created by faculty donations. At NWTC I excel because they make it a priority!

Very intense workload, only two semesters but could easily be made into 4 semesters due to extensive content. The teachers are very knowledgeable in the dental field and bring lots of practical experience to the classroom. The 9 weeks of internships at the end of the program are very costly as no wages are given and two courses are required that total 1,500. I do wish that the internships could be made a part of a semester so as to be more financially friendly. Total number of instructors is 2, student body is now 20 after starting with 30, so student/teacher ratio is great.

I love that my school is small enough in student body so that I am not just a number, but it is large enough to offer so many career choices. I have had the privilege of being a student worker/work study in both the administrative department and in the library so I feel that I have learned aspects of those careers as well as my dental assisting program. Its been a great adventure to go back to school after being a full time, stay-at-home wife and mother.
