I have previewed other colleges in my past, but this one was up in the top three I previewed. When I was deciding which of the three to attend I decided to discuss it with my family and friends about the colleges. I had heard some of my friends had dropped out of two of these colleges and asked why and learned that their professors were disrespectful and knew i would not enjoy those colleges. For Northwest Shoals Community College, however, all I heard was praise and knew it was the one for me. This includes that the professors are respectful of their students.

Being a music major at NWSCC is an awesome experience. Out of around 3,000 students, only about 20 are music majors; this gives very personal student/ professor help and support. As I earlier stated I have had the opportunity to work as the work study in the music department. I'm responsible for organizing music in the library, ordering music, distributing music and folders to Chorale members, and constructing programs for any concert or future event.

I have learned all kinds of new material that it almost seems like a whole new world rather than just some college courses. The college has things for my course that i could only ever dream of seeing, such as, servers and giant unrealistic computer systems. The workload is light, a student usually receives only about four pages of homework per class per meeting. All kinds of new job opportunities have opened up and come my way just from the little amount of college I have already received.
