Overall Experience: You have to make sure things are set in stone & keep a check on all of your information because classes get dropped & things change without your knowing.

Academic Experience: You have to put in a lot of work, but it will be worth it in the end because the teachers give you the large amount of work to better prepare you. It all pays off.

Overall Experience: The teachers are very caring and actually spend their own free time at the school to help us if we need it.

Academic Experience: My program may be applicable in the world, but it can be tough, so you have to work hard if you want to understand it.

Academic Flexibility: It can be like any other college. If your classes clash with your personal life, that can either be your fault, their fault, or just a price you have to pay.

Academic Experience: You're in a group of few, so you're a unique student.

Academic Flexibility: Classes can be chosen for Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays, so a student can choose the best days to schedule their classes. I have never attempted to transfer my credits so i cannot reply to that question.

Online Courses: In my online course, I am actually taking my first online course currently, the workload is pretty convenient for a working student. The due dates for material usually fall about three weeks to a month apart. Students can discuss topics with their classmates and instructors online at any time. The instructors usually respond within a few minutes to a couple of days.

Overall Experience: All of my professors except one have been great so far and are very respectful of their students. There is about a medium variety of courses offered at the college. Some of the classes are over crowded and could be thinned out a little, but it is mostly just the basic classes.

Overall Experience: The graduation rate at the school is low about 12% - 13%, but about 8% of the total students go right into a successful career. The other 4% - 5% tend to transfer to a four-year university. On occasion the college has a job fair and very well known companies send a recruiter to it and offer some fantastic jobs. I can't really talk about the quality of the career center at the college, because I have never used it.

Academic Experience: I have learned all kinds of new material that it almost seems like a whole new world rather than just some college courses. The college has things for my course that i could only ever dream of seeing, such as, servers and giant unrealistic computer systems. The workload is light, a student usually receives only about four pages of homework per class per meeting. All kinds of new job opportunities have opened up and come my way just from the little amount of college I have already received.

Overall Experience: I have previewed other colleges in my past, but this one was up in the top three I previewed. When I was deciding which of the three to attend I decided to discuss it with my family and friends about the colleges. I had heard some of my friends had dropped out of two of these colleges and asked why and learned that their professors were disrespectful and knew i would not enjoy those colleges. For Northwest Shoals Community College, however, all I heard was praise and knew it was the one for me. This includes that the professors are respectful of their students.

Career Services: Northwest has many students who transfer to continue their education. Some of the departments such as Career Technical and nursing have high hire rates.

Overall Experience: My experience with NWSCC has most definitely not been a bad. A huge variety of classes are offered between two different campuses (Phil Campbell; Muscle Shoals). Class size varies depending if the class is a common core class or a major- focused class. Generally there are between five and thirty students in a lecture; this creates a personal one on one type of learning. Every professor at NWSCC is very easily approachable. NWSCC offers many different programs from welding and shop to business or nursing and also music and business.

Overall Experience: Northwest Shoals' students are typically hired with no issue depending on the field of study. Many students transfer and continue their education beyond the Associate degree, as I am planning on doing in the Fall of 2016. Depending on money and scholarship.

Academic Experience: Being a music major at NWSCC is an awesome experience. Out of around 3,000 students, only about 20 are music majors; this gives very personal student/ professor help and support. As I earlier stated I have had the opportunity to work as the work study in the music department. I'm responsible for organizing music in the library, ordering music, distributing music and folders to Chorale members, and constructing programs for any concert or future event.

Overall Experience: Northwest- Shoals has become so much like family to me. I have had the opportunity to sing with the chorale on vocal scholarship for two years. I am the work study for the music department. God has provided so many life changing opportunities for me at NWSCC. I am looking forward to transferring, however, this institution will always have a very special place in my heart.

Overall Experience: My school is a smaller community college. The teacher student interaction is great. They also offer free tutoring to students who need it along with student support services. I have learned a lot from Northwest Shoals. It has built my confidence. I would go to Northwest Shoals one hundred times over if I had the chance.
