Party Scene: You just gotta know some people.

Campus Food: It just gets old fast, not enough options downstairs

Campus Housing: The dorms are okay, some typical building problems

Scholarships: The FAFSA process did not go as smoothly as it should have went. Then there is the whole you can never get enough money thing because college is so gosh darn expensive! If you want financial aid at my school, basically you just need to do well on the ACT!

Party Scene: I haven't really gone to parties in my time here. It is something I would like doing because I think it is a part of the whole college experience, I just have been busy or scared to go. I'm a cross country/track runner, so we are gone on lots of the weekends. I'm also kind of a sheltered kid, so trying new things makes me a little uneasy.

Campus Housing: I really like living on campus. It is seriously a lot of fun, and it allows you to meet a lot of people! The building that I am going to live in next year is going to be even better too because it is closer to all of the actual learning buildings. I'm so excited!

Health & Safety: Overall, it is generally good

Campus Food: The union has no options. They never change things up. It is also very hard to eat healthy. I can't eat a salad everyday. However, I do like the new late night option.

Administration: I feel like parking can be a little ridiculous at times. There aren't a lot of spaces and it's very difficult to find one at times

Scholarships: I wish the school had more scholarships for if you do really well in college. I am getting better grades now than I did in high school and I feel that I should be rewarded for that.

Local Area: Small town, but plenty to do if you are bored on a weekend. Everyone is very friendly.

Health & Safety: I've never felt unsafe walking around on campus at night or any other time. There was one incident of fighting at the beginning of the year, but I haven't heard of any other scenarios since. There are always police cars patrolling campus to make sure nothing bad is going on, and they are actually very friendly.

Guys & Girls: You could definitely point out the typical teenage stereotypes on campus. There's the common white girls with their starbucks, leggings, and ugg boots. There's a lot of athletic students or jocks, country dressing students, and many students from different nationalities. The campus also has an academy for kids to finish high school on campus, so there are many 16-18 year olds in addition to the undergraduate students.

College Freshman

Scholarships: I have not personally applied for any financial aid from Northwest, but it was very easy to receive the scholarships I did based on my high school GPA and ACT. I was told what amounts I qualified for and they were directly applied to my tuition bill when payment was due.

Campus Housing: It's great to be on campus where you are close to all the classroom building, and to the cafeteria on campus. It is with in walking distance from those as well as the gym. The gym has a limited amount of equipment, but works just fine for winter workouts. Many students become good friends with multiple people from their floor and others in their building. Everyone is very friendly.

Athletics: I myself am not a huge fan of being a sport spectator, but if you are there are definitely plenty of opportunities to be involved and watch a varsity football or basketball game.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are more options than one would think there would be in a small town like Maryville. They have good family restaurants, bars for older students on the weekends, and fast food for if you're in a hurry. There is also a nice variety of american, chinese, thai, and mexican restaurants to eat at.

3 College Freshman

Administration: I feel that the campus is the perfect amount of strictness. It gives out enough consequences to show students that it is serious about its policies, yet it will give you a break if you're a first time rule breaker. They understand that everyone makes mistakes.

5 College Freshman

Majors: I haven't really had an internship, but I work for a small animal veterinarian in my home town when I come home from college. It is great because it pays fine and is super flexible about giving me the time off I need and including me on the schedule when I'm in town. It has also exposed me to my chosen career path more than I could have ever hoped for and for that I am grateful.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: It is rather pricey unless you have quite a few people living together to help pay rent.

College Freshman

Greek Life: I don't partake in Greek Life, but I have friends that do. They enjoy it.

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: The people are friendly and considerate of your preferences. If you tell someone to screw off, they leave you alone. If you want to meet people, parties are a great way if you are outgoing and like to talk.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I love the professors at this college. The classroom sizes are perfect. They rage between 20 to 30 students in normal classrooms and the lecture rooms range between 60 to 90 students.
