NCU is a small university with small class sizes and personal attention. The psychology program has only two professors so you get to know them pretty well. Going through the program with small classes ensures that you get to know your classmates well, too. Often times we will all have the same, or nearly the same, class schedules. The workload is challenging enough to make a person work fairly hard to maintain a high GPA and rewarding when the grades are finally posted. It is totally doable! The curriculum is very interesting and engaging. I feel that most information is very relevant to my future career and interesting enough to challenge me to grow and learn more.

My first year, living in the dorms was a lot of fun. It was a great way to meet people and the roommate they matched me up with was awesome! We had our own walk in closet, 2 free washer and dryers we shared with the hall and the bathroom stalls and showers were sufficient, as far as sharing goes.
This year I live in the on-campus apartments. They are alright, but very small and very old. The location is close by, but they need to remodel them or something. As far as expenses, living on campus is quite expensive. A meal plan is included, but it is way over priced.

So far my experience with this university overall has been over satisfactory. The staff that work there is friendly and genuinely dedicated to their work to help you succeed and make sure any of your questions are thoroughly answered. The students included have so far been very helpful and welcoming with open arms and are also very faith based. This school to me is unique because the staff I have met remembered who I specifically was when I had met them again and could recall our conversations, such as my admissions counselor Kassia Galick, which I have not experienced with other universities in Oregon. I am personally glad that I have chosen to purse my education with this college because of how dedicated they are to make you happy with your decisions and guide us not only with our careers, but faith as well. If I had to make a decision of where I could pursue my education once again I would defiantly choose NorthWest Christian University again because of the fact that they are all so caring and love to make you have the best experience, guidance and education possible.
