I just finished my first year at NWACC, so I am just did my basics. I had a great first year! My teachers were very nice, and helpful. It is a small enough school to get to know people, but big enough to make you feel like it is a college institution. I am a special education major. Because it has been my first year I did not take any specific classes to my major, but I will this year. My workload has been heavy, but not to stressful. The facilities at NWACC, are always very up to date, and the computers are easy to navigate. Job opportunities are always opening up for new places being built around campus. The curriculum is very interesting for even the most intelligent.

I am a Criminal justice major working on completing two years with NWACC in order to go onto a four year school. I have an excellent teacher this semester named Jerry Rose who is very hands on about my education and from time to time I sit in his office and talk about the changes that need to apply to the next semester or the next year and what classes NWACC should add to its roster so more students who wish to serve their community can attend a 2 year college for the full two years. He is also the head of his department and is someone who is easy to report any problems to.
Going to college is tough from time to time, but having wonderful people around me and making sure one day I will be able to help others in need keep me going. As a wise man once told me, Education is key!

The student body here is extremely diverse - and there's various clubs that various ethnicities and gender identities can join too! Many of the students are in my boat - working-class, tired, determined and hard-working - we're all trying to get an education. But I've seen older folks too and it's almost odd being in the same classroom with a student that's twice your age or more!

But this is a safe, clean, and calm campus - so diversity is always welcome!
