3 College Junior

Athletics: Sports at Northern are important and a big deal, except a lot of students do not attend. Hockey is our most popular sport here and those games usually have a good crowd.

4 College Senior

Athletics: Hockey is the thing to go and watch at Northern. We have an awesome team. Intramurals are fun and almost everyone is apart of them. And we have many Olympic straining students who attend.

5 College Junior

Athletics: When they say that the athletics are some of the best in the country, they mean it! Being a U.S. Olympic training site, there's a reason why our facilities are top notch! In addition, most of the students here are proud of our athletic teams and players and support them!

2 College Sophomore

Athletics: I come from a heavy Athletic school and it's relieving that Northern is not like my old High school.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Hockey is the biggest sport at Northern Michigan. I attended almost all home hockey games when I am available. Many people are huge supporters for our hockey team. You see a variety of ages there from the elders to young babies in their NMU hockey attire. When I think of hockey supporters, I think of this old couple that sits in the same seat every game. They both majored from NMU. Anytime NMU scores, The put change in their tiny milk gallons and give each other a kiss. They never miss a hockey game that is home.
