Decent academics, great profs, and a gorgeous setting. If you love the outdoors and can hack winter, this place can't be beat.

I loved my experience at NMU, I love the outdoors and this is a great place to be outside, weather that is studying of hiking with friends nothing beats the Northern experience. The only drawback is that my degree Mechanical Engineering Technology needs an updated building and class rooms. I think it would draw in a lot more students because the teachers are the best in the world but we lace the resources.

northern michigan is a school you'd find over seas in Germany in the suburban area. The winters are as cold as ever snowing almost every other day while the summer is bright and hot reaching as high as 100 degrees. Yet the lake seems to never change no matter the temperature outside. as many times as Ive been over seas northern is the closest thing too a foriegn country inside of the US.
