4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Guys at NU are attractive.

4 College Student

Guys & Girls: The guys and girls are pretty cool here, although everyone kinda looks the same in terms of fashion. Everyone is generally friendly, so it is not hard to make friends if you keep an open mind. Some people are a bit entitled, but that's everywhere you go.

Guys & Girls: No one really dates at Northeastern. Co-op cycles and the prevailing hook up culture of Boston make it difficult to hold down a long-term relationship. Good thing people here are hot. If nothing else, there's always Tinder.

Guys & Girls: As a guy, it's terrible. All the girls are really unattractive for the most part and all the guys are actually pretty attractive. This means there's a lot of competition for frankly not that hot of girls.

Guys & Girls: It's a normal campus except that theres a lot of international students and a lot of rich people

Oh, the joys of being young and in college. NU is full of attractive people, and most of them are just waiting to hook up. The problem is the communication—students seem to need some sort of dating guide because both girls and guys don’t know how to treat each other properly. For every good relationship, there seems to be about 10 bad ones.

NU is a sexually open campus—the school has events on sex (Sex Week), and students are always talking about who hooked up, who sleeps around, and who’s still a virgin. Even if you come to school a virgin freshman year, chances are you won’t stay one for long. Nonetheless, there are still a few students who seem primarily interested in having a relationship but haven’t found the right girl or guy.

Social Scene
The ratio of guys to girls at Northeastern is about even, and no matter what you're looking for, it's likely that you'll be able to find your match. Many students also come to visit Northeastern from nearby schools, such as Boston University, Harvard, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, so it's very easy to meet somebody at a party, club meeting, or even just through friends. There's never a shortage of available students, and Northeastern students are big on going out for dates-especially since Boston has so much to offer!
Hookups or Relationships?
More and more, NU is becoming a relationship school. Maybe it's because of the cold weather and the desire to cuddle up to someone. In any case, NU students are very attractive, and they are always meeting new prospects, even from neighboring schools. If you're looking for a relationship, it can seem like a hopeless cause because all anyone wants to do is hook up (in both a regular and meaningless context). There are few one-night stands, though, and many NU students come to college with little to no sexual experience.
Dress Code
The basic style is casual, but some people get more dressed-up. Since the University is so close to major shopping areas in Boston, students find any excuse to shop and pretty much always want to look their best. Some students have to have the newest, most expensive items; other students could care less and show up to class in sweats. Nonetheless, it is not uncommon to find people looking good, even at the gym.
