Campus Housing: I'd much rather rent a cheaper off campus apartment and have less people to regulate your life

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: There is a lot of crime around campus, but on campus it's pretty safe.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I've enjoyed almost all of my classes. Only had a few sub-par professors.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The co-op program really stands out on your resume when you graduate.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I don't know much about greek life.

Athletics: Hockey is the biggest sport, followed by basketball. Neither team is amazing, but they win a decent amount. There is no football team.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Northeastern is a great school. It's very expensive, but they give a lot of scholarships and you earn money while on co-op.

4 College Sophomore

Party Scene: Pretty Good. Walking to the Hill can be annoying

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: A lot of alcohol and some weed

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Hard to make appointments for UHCS

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Co-op almost always leads directly to a job.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Co-op is good and alumni seem happy

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Just make sure you pick good ones

3 College Freshman

Athletics: I don't pay attention to athletics

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: So far I like it

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Easy process. Nice rooms. HBO. No NFL Network.

Greek Life: I don't do Greek life. Nobody cares about it here

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Good Hockey. Good Basketball. Need more squat racks

Health & Safety: Personally, I feel pretty safe on campus. The police services are really great, and the police are always available even if you are walking back to your dorm from the library you can request a policeman to walk you back. Furthermore, the school is really serious about sexual assault as all students had to do an online program for it. The RAs heavily emphasize the importance of Title IX.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I really like the variety of classes offered here, and professors are generally really good. I think students should definitely take the initiative and visit teachers' office hours because that is really helpful. As for TAs, it really depends on the teacher because not every class has a TA. Depending on the class you take, class size and style will vary. As for online classes, definitely stay on top of your coursework and you will be fine.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Alumni network is pretty good, but my school is known for its co-op program. Thus, many employers come to recruit and the school helps you create a resume and get ready for interviews. Career services are great and it's easier for Northeastern students to find a job after college compared to other colleges.

Campus Housing: Campus housing really depends on what dorm you get into. Regardless of what dorm you live in, the social atmosphere is pretty good. Of course, there will most likely be people you won't get along with in any hall. People are relatively friendly here, and you can constantly make new friends, it's great to leave your door open to make new friends.

Greek Life: Greek life is not a big part of the social scene, there are no Greek houses allowed on campus. So the Greek houses are all off campus. From what I've heard, Greek rushes do get intense, and of course not everyone is accepted into a house. Since Greek life is not integral, non-Greeks do not have a strong opinion about Greek houses. However, fraternities are a little sketchy, and most of their parties get busted.

Athletics: Personally, I am not the biggest sports fan so I'm not a good critic of my school's athletics programs. I do know that we have a huge variety of intramural and club sports so sports are easily accessible to students who do not want to compete on school teams. Team performance is relatively good, but not necessarily the best. Fan support and school spirit is really great, everyone is really supportive of all the sports teams. The athletic facilities are really nice, and access to the facilities is included in the school tuition, but classes in these facilities are an extra $50 for the entire semester.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There are many on campus activities to go to, and they are easily accessible and quite fun. There is a class to introduce students to the college and to transition students to college life which is really helpful. One thing that is really important to my school is co-op and internships and there are many great opportunities for people to seize. If I could do it all over I would stick to this school because it really is an amazing school.

Overall, Northeastern University is a well-rounded school that offers a wonderful college experience and a high-quality education. The campus is beautiful and offers a quiet respite from the larger city of Boston. Northeastern exposes you to city life while still allowing you to feel a sense of community in its enclosed campus. The faculty is helpful, and it is fairly easy to get in touch with the right staff members to assist you with your needs. The co-op program puts you ahead of the game when it comes to job connections, industry knowledge, and professional experience. Most Northeastern students who partake in the co-op program graduate with two or three entry-level jobs on their resume.

The downsides at Northeastern are minimal. Parking can be difficult because the school is in the middle of Boston. But most students feel that Northeastern offers a unique college experience that allows you to enjoy your college years while getting ahead in your career.
