Administration: They are very strict in terms of drugs and alcohol but also have a great program that keeps students safe by not prosecuting if you have to call emergency services and also with classes and employees who are there to talk to and get help from if you need it.

Health & Safety: Since it is in the city there is occasionally violence and crime near campus but campus security is always on top of it and sending out warnings and I've never known any to get involved in anything dangerous because of campus.

Transportation: The T is only 2 dollars, as a person coming from DC where it can cost up to 6 dollars, this is amazing. It also goes most places you need it, though occasionally since it is the green line it takes forever for a car to show up and then you have to go into the city to go back out but this a fault of Boston's and not Northeasterns. The taxis are expensive, but again, it's the city. Northeastern does have a hertz on campus that is pretty reasonable and easy to use.

Campus Housing: there isn't much student on campus housing available, it's a city school and the room they have goes to making classrooms and labs. But, a new dorm is just about to be completed and there is always room for all the freshmen and almost all the sophomores, everyone else wants to live off campus anyways.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: The library is nice, it just got renovated, the new layout is fun and and lends to more student collaboration however it limits the seating, if the library were maybe two floors taller it would be excellent. there is limited study space on campus and outlets are a hot commodity.

Campus Quality: Some of the buildings are a little complicated, there's a set of 5 buildings htat all connect and you can never know which building you're in until you've left and look at the sign above the door. But they are constantly renovating so the classrooms are often top of the line.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

Overall, Northeastern University is a well-rounded school that offers a wonderful college experience and a high-quality education. The campus is beautiful and offers a quiet respite from the larger city of Boston. Northeastern exposes you to city life while still allowing you to feel a sense of community in its enclosed campus. The faculty is helpful, and it is fairly easy to get in touch with the right staff members to assist you with your needs. The co-op program puts you ahead of the game when it comes to job connections, industry knowledge, and professional experience. Most Northeastern students who partake in the co-op program graduate with two or three entry-level jobs on their resume.

The downsides at Northeastern are minimal. Parking can be difficult because the school is in the middle of Boston. But most students feel that Northeastern offers a unique college experience that allows you to enjoy your college years while getting ahead in your career.
