My experience at Northeast State has been nothing but wonderful. It was a big chance from going to high school and then college in the fall but I adapted well and it's one of the best decisions I've made for myself. What I like about going here is the freedom to be yourself. Everyone going there is going there for one thing, to get their education, and with that, there's no judgment. No one is there to judge anyone for going there and that's what I love about Northeast. Everyone is nice to everybody, the professors are so friendly and welcoming, so different than what I experienced in high school. I can't think about what I want to change, it's already so nice as it is.
I started at northeast state during my highschool senior year this was to gain dual enrollment. Then once I enrolled full-time on campus I was able to get the full college experience. The professors are wonderful and seem to have such a great way of understanding the students. I am currently on the Blountville campus and I can say that there is a bunch of diversity and community within everyone. I do not see a lot of drama within the campus and it is just overall a great community college to attend. I would recommend this college to anyone who is in need of getting their 2-year degree. The only thing about this community college I would change is the student engagement. This college hosts so many different activities throughout the months the only problem is how many students actually take advantage of it.
My overall experience with Northeast State Community College has been good. I have had some great teachers and some incredibly hard and rude teachers. Most of the staff members that I have had to talk with have been rude. I would like to see the tutoring service availability change and I would like there to be a change in the communication with the teachers and students.
