4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The teachers are easy to access for questions about the class or for homework help. There is a good variation of types of courses, though it is only a two year school, so it can't compete with a University.

Academic Flexibility: A sizable percentage of the students at NIACC are returning students, single parents, or already full-time workers. Class times range from early in the morning to late at night, with most courses also being offered online for those who cannot make it to campus.

Online Courses: I have been taking online courses with this college for four and a half years now, and have never had a bad experience. Depending on the teacher, there are options to interact with other students in the course, and with the teacher.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I am double majoring, my active major being Pre-Law, and my secondary major being Business Management. Unfortunately, NIACC doesn't offer many Law courses, and I too several of them my senior year in high school. The workload is very heavy, but I am lightening it by taking courses both over summer, and over winter break. NIACC is based on the outskirts of Mason City, which doesn't offer any law internships, but there are dozens of other opportunities for both paid internships, and part-time jobs on campus. The facilities are well kept and very up to date. There is a Student Learning Center which offers free tutoring, homework assistance, free printing, and a testing room from 7:30 am til 5:30 at night.

Overall Experience: Although NIACC is a small college, there is always something going on. There are many learning opportunities, and die to the small class sizes, teachers have a more personalized approach while teaching. The dorms were constructed in 2014, and are high quality and spacious.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: There are so many fields you can go into with the courses offered. Most lead to further education, and trades you can use to find employment.

Academic Experience: My advisor directed me to the perfect schedule, gave me resources for financial aide to follow up on, outlined all of the costs involved in the program. She even contacted the specialty course director to inquire about further instructions, requirements and meetings I should attend prior to enrolling into the program

Overall Experience: After being out of school for more than 30 years, the staff and councilors made admissions easy. I was scheduled for advisors, financial aide, all in one visit ! The campus is small, easy to access, and I was greeted with a smile everywhere I went. It is close to home, 10 minutes drive ! I would highly recommend this institution to anyone wanting to further their education !!

Campus Resources: Free tutoring, walks in welcome for counselors, library, cafeteria, and dorms all on campus.

Only thing that sucks is the school is in the middle of no where.
