Online Courses: Very easy to pass, but you learn next to nothing.

Overall Experience: I'd go back to NIACC if I had to do it all over again. I feel I've gotten a quality education for the price.

Online Courses: The Angel software is best utilized when there are drop boxes versus discussion forums. The online classes differ in how well they utilize Angel.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: A lot of people party and don't care about school. It's hard to be in class with people who don't care about the material.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is low and the help is plentiful. My second year I didn't have to take out any student loans, which was really nice.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: NIACC has a lot of classes tailored for the school I'll be transferring to.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I would like more education classes so I could get them out of the way now instead of filling my load with filler classes.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: NIACC provides most of the services listed above.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: The academics offered at the school are great. Most professors are very passionate about their courses and their students. There's a wide variety of programs to choose from, and the registration processes are quite easy. Depending on how many credits and such, the workload can be easily manageable. We have a great Ag, Nursing, Auto, and Business program.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: The best thing at NIACC is how their credits transfer between schools, especially ones like Iowa State and the University of Iowa. At most of the colleges in Iowa, NIACC has a direct transfer program, which makes it incredibly easy to transfer your credits. With the courses offered on campus and online, flexibility has been great and convenient.
