3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: The apartments that are near NDSU are really expensive. If you can I would recommend moving farther away you will save a lot of money.

Off-Campus Dining: Spicy pie is my favorite! It's right off campus on 12th street and it is definitely the place to go at 1:00 AM. That's when everyone is there.

Administration: The RA's are pretty strict about noise after quiet hours. Even if it sounds like a good idea to throw a party in your dorm, DO NOT DO IT. They will catch you no matter how quiet you are and you will get written up.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I received the freshman scholarship to attend.

4 College Sophomore

Party Scene: If you know alot of people than you will be able to find parties if not you might not be so lucky. A lot of students who live around campus will throw house parties. Some people will just show up but usually you have to know someone to get in.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Food: So many options and really great food!

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The Dorm rooms are a kinda small and a little bit run down. Some are better than others. I lived in Dinan and the bathrooms were not the best but they were remodeled this year. The RAs are really nice and they have a lot of activities for you to do as a dorm.

Off-Campus Housing: It just depends where you live and if you have a car or not. Most of the off-campus housing near NDSU is decent. For the same price as a new apartment with full amenities and a washer/dryer, you get a sort of dumpy apartment with some amenities and a shared washer/dryer (if that). If you want to pay more, you can get a place in T Lofts or something. I live downtown, so it's far enough away that it is still pretty cheap and I get what I want, but close enough that biking only takes about ten minutes. The further away from the school you get, the better the options are.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There aren't many school discounts, but a lot of the local restaurants offer giant coupon books that they hand out during the beginning of each semester. There are a lot of great options here for food. It isn't as great as the cities - we don't have 18 different restaurants on one street - but it's still pretty good. There are fast food and chain places as well as local places you won't find elsewhere.

3 College Junior

Administration: The school tries to have a hard hand when dealing with drugs and alcohol. I know they're pretty tough on drugs. Some guy in the dorm across from mine got busted with the tiniest amount of pot and he was expelled. However, alcohol is a little different. They know students do it. If a student gets caught on campus, they basically have to meet with an adviser and do community service or something. I'm sure if they get caught more than once they get expelled, though.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I've had to fill out a form confirming my family's financial status every year. Last year they misplaced my form and my financial aid was delayed. That was a big hassle. Otherwise I've had a pretty decent time when it comes to financial aid. Just make sure to fill out any and everything you need to at least two weeks before they are due. It takes time to process things and you don't want to miss out on something because it was processed late.

3 College Junior

Party Scene: The party scene isn't anything to tout about on campus. There aren't many big ragers that go on - aside from homecoming week, then every house near NDSU has a party. I'm more interested in the bars downtown. They have good atmospheres.

4 College Junior

Campus Food: There are three dining centers available for those with or without a meal plan. Having the meal plan is nice because you can go unlimited times and it's all covered. I also like the wide rang of dining options in the food court. There are different foods and prices to choose from. I think the abundance of coffee shops on campus is a good thing as well.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: I stayed in Thompson during my freshman year, and overall it was a pretty fair experience. Some of the RA's should have been better prepped in handling students. There were a few times students were doing things and the RA's had no idea. However, the dorms were pretty decent sized and I made a lot of great friends. The atmosphere was inviting and I'm glad I spent my first year of college in a coed dorm.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: I think its great to have Greek Life. I do not belong to any sororities, but its good for students to meet people and make friends.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The facilities are nice, but a majority of the students don't get to use them since they are not in varsity sports.

2 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: They are nice, but they are very expensive for college students..

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I love going around Fargo-Moorhead and finding new places.

3 College Freshman

Administration: I think they need to focus more on the drinking and drug abuse that is going on around campus rather than the parking.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It was super confusing trying to accept it and make sure it went through, but once it was figured out everything was fine.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The food is good at the start of the year, but now it gets old, the variety of food choices is declining.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: It has a nice atmosphere.

5 College Freshman

Campus Food: I absolutely love the campus food! There is so much variety and great things to try!

4 College Student

Campus Food: I think the food is usually pretty good! There's always salads and sandwiches and the flattops when you don't like the food that's being served.

3 College Student

Campus Housing: I'm in a high rise dorm and it's alright.
