Health & Safety: Being a city, there will always be some amount of crime although I feel extremely safe on campus. Most crimes occur off campus and are usually classified as robberies. I feel that students are only at risk when they travel alone at night.

Overall Experience: Professors are top-notch here. This could be difficult for some students because there is no room for nonsense or sympathy because of the rigor that the professors implement into their curriculums. As long as you study and pay attention, you'll be fine here; no time for slackers at this school.

Overall Experience: Graduating from NCSU is already an honor and I believe that in the next couple of years the value of a degree from this university will be at the same level as the top 10 public universities of today.

Campus Housing: Campus housing is fantastic. There are plenty of options (8+) all within sight of each other and also within close proximity to lecture buildings. There are also options for campus apartments for upperclassmen looking to get more space.

Athletics: Great school spirit here, even when we have sub-par seasons. Next year could be the golden year for basketball and maybe even football if the younger guys step up. Go Pack!

Health & Safety: I usually feel safe walking around campus, even if it's late walking home from the library.

Overall Experience: Most of my professors so far have been interesting, passionate about their subject, and easy to get to know.

Campus Housing: I do not live in on campus housing but from what I have heard and seen, it is overall a good experience.

Greek Life: I am not a part of Greek Life but most people that I know who are love it.

Athletics: The athletics here at NC State are great, depending on the sport. Major sports such as football and basketball are fun to watch. Although we may not win all of our games, attending sporting events in Carter Finley and PNC Arena is always amazing.

Overall Experience: I love NC State and how diverse it is. There is a wide variety of people coming from all over the world, and also a wide variety of teachers coming from different backgrounds. This makes everyday a learning experience. The classes for my major have been challenging so far, but that is what I am here for.

Health & Safety: The WolfAlert texts/emails are really helpful, they offer a police escort service at night to get you home, the blue light call centers are evenly spaced and the campus is well lit. I feel safe walking alone at night but I prefer to have someone with me just in case, because we are near downtown Raleigh and Hillsborough

Overall Experience: Professors are extremely helpful, and they try to get to know you, even in classes upwards of 150 people. They know what they are doing and how to most effectively teach the course material.

Overall Experience: There are multiple job opportunities in the area, especially on campus. I haven't truly researched it, so I can't give you definite answers.

Campus Housing: The room prices are based on how many roomates you have; not how much space you get. The rooms vary widely in size especially in suite style housing and between buildings. Rooms in Avent Ferry are twice, if not more than the size of B/C rooms in Sullivan. The quality of the furniture is good though.

Greek Life: Greek life isn't noticeable unless you're a part of it. I haven't applied to any sorority, but some of my friends have and they like the sense of community it gives them.

Overall Experience: While NC State is set in Raleigh, I don't feel as though I'm in a big city. The worn, red bricks give the place a homey feel and the sheer amount of trees on campus makes the place feel more nature-oriented. For a school of 40,000 people, you run into a lot of familiar faces and the small class sizes make it easy to make friends. The intramural sports teams and clubs give a nice outlet for energy and are an easy way to have fun exercising.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

Overall, the students' experience with NCSU is that it provides them with a rich learning environment. Students learn to balance play and work. Some come to NC State because of family tradition, to get away from the cold, or because of the College of Engineering-but whatever the reason is for the individual, positive feedback always finds its way out. Professors at the University will go above and beyond their call of duty. You make lifelong friends, and you have a huge list of organizations to partake in. Whether you're involved in a college sport, student government, or the Agribusiness Club, you will find your niche here among the thousands of students. Some professors will take you under their wing, and you will learn enormous amounts of information from them. These professors will also become lifelong connections who will probably end up writing letters of recommendation for you when it is time for you to find a job.

NC State wants its students to succeed not only in academics, but in life, too. Here you learn important lifelong skills that are essential to your survival in the real world. Classes can be rigorous and stressful, but students find a way to overcome hardships and get through. Professors will push you to do your best, but at the same time, they understand what it was like to be a student. NC State will help you become an expert in your subject of choice, and with the large number of students, you will come out of college ready to work in some of the most diverse settings.
