Off-Campus Housing: I only know one person that lives off campus, and they've already graduated college. I really don't have an opinion on off campus housing, except it can be kind of dangerous. Breaking and entering is big problem with living off campus.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I don't really go off campus for much, because I'm a freshman with no money and no car.

College Freshman

Administration: The campus police really don't do anything, from my experience. I only see a lone security guard hanging around dorms sometimes. Security could probably be stepped up a bit, it's pretty easy for visitors to get into dorms and stay past curfew.

Party Scene: There are always house parties going on; but, they usually get shut down by the cops or are too crowded. GHOE was incredibly fun, although far too crowded and hot. Gym jams are a hit-or-miss, either they're packed and a good time, or they're almost empty or a complete dude fest and boring.

Scholarships: This is the first year I've had to apply for financial aid, so I don't have much experience with it. But it has been kind of a hassle, they keep sending me on a wild goose chase for some document, which earlier in my financial aid process they said I didn't even need. It's frustrating to say the least.

Campus Food: The food at the cafe is always a hit-or-miss, it's either average or terrible (there is no in-between). The options for restaurants that take flex is very limited, but we are supposed to be building two or three new establishments. Who knows when that will actually happen though, construction always takes forever.

Campus Housing: I live in an older dorm, so it's very crowded and we have small rooms. However, there are new dorms on campus, which are extremely nice and spacious.

Majors: my major has a lot of work and can take a lot of time

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The courses are not too challenging or easy, professors are very educated, there is a good variety of different courses offered, there is a variety of class styles offered, and class sizes are about the same as high school with the acception of mandatory classes for freshman which can be up to 100 students.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Career Fairs are a big deal and sometimes jobs come to your major department to speak to your major specifically to offer jobs, etc.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Our Student Health Center is very new! Sexual assault is taken very serious on campus.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: I have no knowledge about Greek Life.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: There is a lot of support.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: There are multiple off-campus options. If you have a car and at least a sophomore, I would recommend it.

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of places deliver. Papa John's accepts Aggie Bucks. Chipotle is nearby!

4 College Freshman

Administration: There is nothing too strict where you won't be able to enjoy yourself.

5 College Freshman

Party Scene: I do not party myself but there is always something going on at nearby clubs on Thursday nights and there are multiple kickbacks in walking distance on the weekend.

North Carolina A&T State University is an amazing institution of higher education. There is no other university with as much school pride. With such an inviting atmosphere, spending a few moments on campus just isn't enough time to see the greatness that is NC A&T. A popular slogan that most Aggies live by is "Work hard, play hard!" Not only do Aggies excel within the social scene, but first and foremost, they excel in and out of the classroom. Aggies have been invited to present research at various prestigious institutions, offered positions within the top corporations of today, and have even gone further to obtain doctorate degrees all over the nation. "AGGIE PRIDE" stands for "Achieving Great Goals In Everything, Producing Renowned Individuals Dedicated to Excellence." Each time an Aggie steps foot in a classroom, they know it's time to excel, go further, and reach new heights! Not only do the students excel, but the professors and faculty members do as well. They are more than willing to mentor, assist, and motivate Aggies on the rise. Student advisers not only help students register for classes, but they also have helped students find the proper outlet for their dreams to soar. One of the greatest benefits of attending North Carolina A&T is the vast amount of extra-curricular activities and campus organizations that add to the social atmosphere. There are organizations that directly correlate with your desired major, hometown clubs that help you connect with those from your hometown, and even groups that help you hone your hobbies. In all, North Carolina A&T State University is one of the most unique institutions in the United States. Aggie pride is worldwide.
