3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I did the one year program in New York and they basically work you to death and make you hate film, since im moving on to my Bachelors they have spread out the classes and have alot more free time, so now im looking for a job.

Overall Experience: My overall experience has been shi**y, I odnt like what we focus on and wish we cared more about directors and actually directing then just treating it likea job to get done. The clash of culture gets in the way and the people arent very friendly so its hard to make friends right away and stuff.

Overall Experience: all my professors are moody and irratable and very bipolar. Some are inspirational while others make it a very tedious job that you start to dread.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The value of a degree from this school means nothing except you know the basics, I dont think its necessarily prepares you for the industry at all.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: havent used much only editing software

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: The student body is full of alot of kids that need personalities. I dislike my college experience because of the lack of social stimulation, I go to school and have no friends because noone is outgoing or friendly its very cliquey and I dislike most of the peoples attitudes.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: They have actually made it to where I get the most amount of money in scholarship so im very pleased with that. Its helped me immensly.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: I dont think they network very well, they make it obvious its a very independent work that you will have to strive to make yourself better at improving.

2 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: My program is a hands on program where we learn the technique and art of filmaking. The workload isnt that much at all fortunately but the curriculum and they way it is expressed is boring and almost tedious.

2 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Most of the teachers seem more like very knowledgeable people and not really teachers.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: They usually have everything I need but few times acted like they couldnt help me with simple problems.

Campus Resources: It couldĀ“t be a better place in the world. Close to main Hollywood Studios.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: My schedule is good that it's not the same everyday so I can get personal appointments done

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It's such a hands on program and I've done so much in such a short time.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I've had 1 professor that I had conflict with and they changed my class asap

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: Majority of the students are international students. So we have a big diversity of students

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: They answer all my questions when contacted

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The schedule is hectic but it prepares you for the real world ! You meet and work with people all involved in the film industry

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: There's acting, film, photography, editing, and directing.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Not a regular college.. There's a small library and lots of weekend work and networking available

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: You don't have any say over the class schedule or curriculum. You pretty much put your life on hold to come here, because you're going to class 5 days a week. You don't have time for a job, or to take care of a family or pet. There is no flexibility in the curriculum, as you don't get to choose your classes. They will let you transfer general educations credits in however.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I've had some struggle with financial aid because they always need something that you can't get online or that no one seems to have. The people who work there are very nice though and do everything they can to help you.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: Since I'm not post-grad, I haven't used the career services yet, but I don't have high hopes of them finding me a job.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: We don't really have campus resources. We have a library, which is small but cute, and that's about it. There isn't a campus, and there aren't any clubs. There are a couple of school sports teams they're trying to start, but I don't think it's really taking off. It's more like going to a trade school or conservatory than it is a university.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: It's a lot of work. You're filming almost all the time, and when you're editing one project, you're already doing pre-production for the next project. This would be great if everyone in the program put in the same amount of effort. Unfortunately, a lot of the students at this school seem to not care about coming to class, or doing assignments on time, or following the guidelines. This can make it often hard to be motivated for these assignments or to do your best work.

I wish there were more actual opportunities to meet and work with people in the industry. They tell you that your professors are all working in the industry, but for the most part, they're just working on their own independent films - which isn't going to help you get your foot in the door or to get a job. I wish this school offered some type of internship program or at least some way to help you make the contacts to get your career started when you graduate. I'm very worried that when I graduate I'm going to be thrown out into the wild with no contacts and no jobs.
