Overall Experience: The campus itself feels welcoming and accepting for all students no matter their age. I would not choose a different school.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: The people are pretty great. The location is terrible. I'm studying plants in a desert.

Overall Experience: My NMSU experience has been great in helping me with several student resource centers that help students with disabilities like mine achieve there goals. I am know in the process of entering my masters next spring with the help of all the professors who are inspiring and advisers who are hardworking to make it all happen for you. My Favorite experiences is that NMSU helped me with some financial help to go to CHINA on a class setting for 15 days experiencing HISTORY and my presentation on the steps of the Forbidden City. This was a DREAM COME TRUE FOR ME!! Living with Autism has been a burden for me. Never been allowed to travel on my own or drive anywhere or be self dependent. NMSU prepared me and gave me confidence in me without making me feel different in any way. Professors helped me along the way for anything I needed during this trip. My school is UNIQUE we are a family here. There is not just a Student and Professor Relationship but FRIEND TO FRIEND, FAMILY MEMBER TO FAMILY MEMBER Relationship. Here is the place to be with many Courses offered, Low cost of living we are a small community. Small town feel . You will never regret coming to NMSU were everyone is ready to lend you a hand and make the transitions easy and smooth to anyone ready to dedicate themselves to success.

Overall Experience: The college students on campus are really nice and they are also friendly. The Staff is very friendly and very understanding. They answer all of the questions if they seem stupid, they make them seem important. I would pick my school over any school, because it has a wonderful and clean campus. The people are nice and the professors are very understanding if you tell them the truth.

Overall Experience: I never expected to stay, but the first year was fantastic. The campus is clean and quiet, and there are a lot of very friendly people. The teachers in general do what they can to help you, and it is easy to find people who have common interests- within your degree program or not. And the tuition isn't as terrible as it could be, when compared to places like the University of New Mexico, or even outside of the state.

For me, it's a calm environment that's become very much a second home. I don't feel in danger, and it's still within a reasonable distance to the home I grew up in, being only just about three and a half hours away. The people are colorful, and the atmosphere is just incredibly calming. One of my favorite stress relievers is walking around campus- especially in fall, when the trees are changing into so many colors. It's absolutely beautiful.

Overall Experience: I attend New Mexico State University and have so far loved it and have been excited to start classes again. The campus is beautiful and the people are extraordinary.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Attending New Mexico State University has to be one of the best decision I've made, if not the best. I am four hours away from my family and closest ways, but this distance has helped me grow as a person. I have learned to be independent and responsible. My mother and father are no longer by my side helping me change a tire or cook a certain food, I have had to learn to do them myself. New Mexico State University would be my number one choice if I had to pick again because it's not too far from home, but it's definitely a new environment, and because the people I have met, those I've made memories with have made my days/nights there memorable. The staff, my peers, they're people who have made me feel welcomed. About three fourths of the people there are friendly, they help make Las Cruces home.

Overall Experience: If I had to go back in time I would still choose my school. Tuition is cheap, it is close to home, and NMSU offers a lot of extracurricular activities for their students. They also provide a lot of free tutoring to help you succeed.

Overall Experience: Its a great school and they have the WUE that helps a lot because i get in state tuition and its cheaper than ASU, U of A or NAU.

Overall Experience: Very helpful staff and large campus.

Overall Experience: I say it's okay only because I don't involve myself in anything that the school offers. I go to class, go to my job, and go home. I'm not in any extra curriculars and I don't go to many of the sporting events or other events held on campus. If I could do it all over again, and had the means to go anywhere, I would not go back to NMSU only because I want to go to a different city, or state. But NMSU really isn't all that bad.

Overall Experience: I really love NMSU. My experiences have been great

Overall Experience: I transferred from one university to the other, I have really enjoyed the university I have transferred to. The instructors and advisors seem to care more about students education than the first school I attended.

Off-Campus Housing: It seems really nice, plenty of options at good prices. No one that I know has complained abut living off campus but you lose some benefits of living in campus; it depends on the person's interests.

Party Scene: Some people set bad parties while others are pretty good. Also if you have a car you can always head to El Paso.

Off-Campus Dining: There is a great amount of choices and they mostly have great prices.
