Campus Resources: I occasionally had uploading document problems. The computers would crash in the middle of my tests. The internet connectivity was good on wifi but the network was slow.

3 College Sophomore

3 College Sophomore

College Sophomore

Career Services: I wouldn't know about post-grad services. Im not yet at that level in education.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Being in my specific major at this time hasnt really taken into effect. I personally have yet to experience what my major is about and to take the main courses of interest.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: As with most rural community colleges the academic's offered at the school are limited with the available professionals. However we work with what we can receive and try to get all teh basics covered.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The libraray was a great resource to me as well as the student success center. However the reliability of the network was shaky at best and the internet connection was so slow.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: As expected with all older buildings. Renovations will improve over time and with available funding.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: I really wasn't among the student body this time around. I took all online courses but had to travel to campus occasionally to study. While there the general student body seemed businesslike and no time for fun. Which is what I expected in a campus.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Im just starting off again with College and I want to be a bit more ambitious this time around. The coursesw were great and the teachers were very understanding with that I already have a career and family and worked with me. I enjoyed my schooling experience this time around and I really wish to continue my education.

Online Courses: online is a bit easier. You can work at your own pase but you also have to follow the deadlines.. I think it is great if you know what you are doing and if you know how to do your online classes..

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I really can not say how it is different from other schools this is the only college I have ben to. I like coming to school. It's my alone time to think about what I have to get done and what I can concentrate on. As I said before the math teacher for 120 is great i couldn't ask for a better teacher. He is very good at explaining problems..

Career Services: NMSU- Grants is a great school. Everyone helps you when you need help even the other students not just the staff. The success center here is very good the staff help you get to the point of what you are looking for. If they can not provide the answer right there they will find it for you. The math teacher for 120 is excellent!!! I enjoy coming to class.

Student Body: The student body at my school get lots of help when they need it. The staff are willing to help in many ways. Its a smaller campus than others so they get a lot of one on one with the professors. There are very little clubs.

2 College Freshman

Student Body: I do not know anybody who is on the student body, no events are made available to the students rarely receive any emails about what events are on campus

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: It seems like they are about the same, except one is on-line. They provide pretty much the same information and expect the amount of work, exams, and interaction.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I have been very fortunate. The classes I needed to take were available when my children were in school. I am able to be a full time student and be home when my children get home. That was a big + for me.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: My experience at this branch of New Mexico State University has been wonderful. It's close enough for me to live with my parents and it's a nice, small college, which is convenient in a lot of ways. The classes are wonderful and because of the smaller sizes, there is a lot of great, constructive feedback between the students and the professors. The staff is also very friendly and eager to help in any ways that they can. I even go to some with questions about investing, grocery discounts, and pet illnesses. They are definitely waiting and willing to help and fill you with knowledge that will help you academically, and at home. And I work during the days and am still able to take the classes I wanted in the evenings and online.

Student Body: A large majority of the students are older people with children. There are a lot of moms trying to get nursing degrees so they can make a better living for their families. The students get very involved with the clubs and campus activities. ASG and the Native American club are two organizations at our school that are really passionate about what they do and they definitely make our campus a nicer, more enjoyable place. Most of the students try their best in classes and campus activities. The majority of students are Hispanic and native american, and Caucasians are actually the minority in this town. There is a vast variety of age groups, race, and religions, but we all seem to practice acceptance exceptionally well. Everyone is really kind to one another and the whole school environment is just really friendly and warm.

Student Body: At New Mexico State University- Grants it is diverse in every possible way. There are different ethnic backgrounds at the college. I believe that it is odd to hear about four different languages as you walk down the hall. The amazing thing is that the college faculty and student's accept the fact that there are differences in people.

5 College Senior

Online Courses: I enjoyed online courses because the courses are self managed. I like that the instructor gave the option to go ahead if we read ahead. It also put most of the responsibility on the student to get work in on time. The online courses get you ready for the real world because most of the time the responsibility is entirely left up to the employee.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition for my school is reasonable and the advisors are wonderful about helping to get everything prepared. The only problem I have is that financial aid doesn't adjust when it is necessary to take distant courses from our main campus, which is a huge difference in tuition.
