3 College Junior

Overall Experience: The building is very confusing at first

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: The flexibility of Muskegon Community College's courses is average because there is a large number of students who take the courses that other people may need because of personal work schedules. The scheduling system online isn't the greatest.

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: I enjoy online classes because the registration is easy, the discussions are completely random because you don't see your classmates face-to-face and using the online system is not difficult.

2 College Freshman

Career Services: I do not feel like the connections that Muskegon Community College has with different careers is a large web of businesses.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I feel like the professors could do a better job of relating to the students, even if it is a community college. The courses are usually not too difficult or as difficult as they would be at a university.

2 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The career prospects are not the greatest at Muskegon Community College. Almost once a week there are military recruits there because many of the students aren't there to gain an actual degree. Community college only goes up to a certain level so if a student wants a 4 year degree, they have to transfer.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I do enjoy the smaller class sizes of Muskegon Community College but I don't feel like all of the teachers are there to help the student learn individually and see each one succeed.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I most likely would not choose Muskegon Community College over other colleges because the campus is not in good shape, the student life is dull and nearly nonexistent and there are far better community colleges that can offer far more unique courses.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I think Muskegon Community College is a great school for students who could use one or two years of a transition between high school and a university.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Friendly staff, and very small class sizes make this college great. It is a great step between high school and a large university!

2 College Student

Overall Experience: took me a million yrs to apply to be a student.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: I found the experience to be good because of the ability to take classes online.

3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: not as much information as I wanted to get at first...had to ask

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: It's a great starter school. I was able to go through an early college educational program, so I got all my credits for free. It was definitely worth my time and my high school's money.

5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: The classes have a lot of different times, and a lot of them also do online courses, which is very convenient.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: If I could do this all over again, I would still choose my college because my dad graduated from there. They are so involved with their students and faculty. They have tons of programs, and isn't super expensive.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I love the class sizes. Instead of have 50-100 students to a class, the classes have 20-30 students, so it is a lot easier to pay attention and get involved.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The college has a great work-study program I have heard. I do most of my work online, so I don't visit the school so often.

5 College Freshman

Online Courses: I am online with 75% of my classes, I have two young children, ages 2 and 1, and the online classes are perfect for me. I do my school work when the kids are in bed or napping, or if they are at their grandparents. The registration is very simple, but if you're not used to it, the counseling center is the place to go. The discussion boards help out a lot too. It saves me on gas, and it is a no rush process, you can work on it any time of the day.

4 College Freshman

Student Body: With a lot of students, everyone get's along pretty well. Mostly because we are all there for some of the same reasons, either to get a job or just learn more, or excelling in a career. They have bullying committees, and they also have security for that purpose. It makes the campus seem very safe.

4 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: I don't pay for tuition, my financial aid pays for my books and classes. I think the grants are good. But file online and bug them about it if you don't get your letter.

4 College Freshman

Career Services: This is one thing I do not know about yet, because I have quite awhile before I am able to graduate.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: My classes give me just enough work to not lose my mind, and the studies are interesting,

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The teacher I have right now is very social and funny. He is an amazing teacher, and he has to be because I spend 3 1/2 hours with him every Tuesday. He gives us breaks so we have time to stand up and stretch or use the bathroom. We also have a program for mental health. I am bipolar, so the school has a place to inform my teachers if I am unable to show up due to a mental breakdown or what not.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: My school is huge on athletics, has an amazing student center, and major campus activities, and there is someone ALWAYS available to help.
