Academics: The professors are typically nice and very helpful. The curriculum in the Traditional Music Program is awesome and useful. Registering for classes is fairly easy.

Diversity: The majority of the student body is made up of white country boys and girls. Some of them are tolerant, some not so much.

Drug Safety: The people who want to do drugs do them and typically get away with it.

Health & Safety: It's a really safe campus. There are emergency buttons on like every corner, the police department is very nice and responsive.

Overall Experience: Morehead is awesome! The classes are small and the professors are nice and knowledgeable.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: They have a career fair once a semester and the Career Center is really nice and helpful. It's a solid degree, people take you seriously. It's not super prestigious, but I like that.

Campus Housing: The dorms honestly aren't bad. They're expensive and moving off of campus is definitely something to do once you're eligible. Four girls in one room is kind of miserable, but it could be worse.

Athletics: People don't pay too much attention to sports. There are lots of intramurals available if you're into Greek life. It's a bit harder to get involved in them if you don't have an association you are wanting to sign up with.

Overall Experience: I love Morehead! The Traditional Music Program is the best! It's a great university in a great, small town. The campus is beautiful and the people are friendly.

Health & Safety: MSUPD recently made an app in the App Store and Google Play store that is called "Live Safe." It has many features to help safety on campus. For example, you can leave anonymous tips for the PD on something you find strange on campus, you can link up with a friend to "watch you walk" to make sure you stay safe crossing campus, and many more things. The MSUPD also joins up with RA's to make events on the effects of drugs and alcohol. MSU also has "blue light phones" in various places on campus in case of an emergency, you can call the police from one. The Live Safe app also has a function that can turn your cell into your own personal "blue light phone" if you come across an emergency and one of the phones isn't nearby. MSU has also been nationally known as one of the safest campuses in the state (if not the US). Overall, MSUPD is the best.

Campus Housing: I absolutely love my dorm! I love the view I have from my 13th floor window and I don't mind the walk to class. I cannot wait for the new dorm to be finished so that I can live in it! All the dorms that I have looked at are very clean and tidy, but some of my friends complain about their dorms not being the best.

Greek Life: I personally know a lot of Greeks and based on the buzz around campus, Greek parties are always awesome (especially on Thursday nights). I don't go to their parties myself, but I hear a lot about them. Based on what I've seen, Greeks and non-Greeks view each other as equals and don't treat each other differently for being Greek or not being Greek.

Overall Experience: I have loved my experience at MSU! My mom went here, it's a gorgeous campus in the mountains (specifically the Daniel Boone National Forest), and it is the closest school to my home that offers Veterinary Technology. I did look at other colleges just because, but I was only planning on applying to Morehead State. I love it here and I'm going to be a little sad when I graduate because I'll miss the mountains.

Health & Safety: I've never felt danger or known of anyone who has.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I take 13 classes, 18 credit hours, some of the classes don't count as hours but are required with my major. 11 of the 13 classes I have are music related classes. The two none music classes often have work that I struggle finding time for.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Lots of great teachers in my field have graduated from morehead.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I have a place to sleep atleast. Heating and cooling units don't always work, most are dirty, I had to put in a request to get mine cleaned and it instantly helped my asthma. The fire sprinklers leak in my room. The community bathroom had a small trash can that got overfilled almost daily. The shower heads are too low for most of the residents on may floor. Real doors and not curtains would be nice to have for both showers and stalls.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Our basketball and football teams did very well this season , making it very far into their season.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: All the professors in my field are fantastic, each and everyone will stop what they are doing if you needed help. My gen ed classes get in the way of my core core classes, it's hard to find time to do the work that is completely unrelated to my major where I already have a lot to do.

Overall Experience: The variety of courses seems to be great and the experience I've had has been great so far with the typical exception of a few professors.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: The career service center has been very helpful for me, so I have no complaints with that. For the major I am pursuing, I am expecting to have difficulty finding job internships.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: The University is always updated with security measures. The University and community itself is laid back and seems like a safe environment.

Campus Housing: Campus housing is a very difficult process. Some dorms are better than others. Costs always seem outrageous.

Greek Life: Nothing bad to say about Greek life, it creates more connections on campus.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: My experience is slowly getting better because of the opportunities and connections I have made. I would choose this School again because it has given me the opportunity to make connections with people to follow my goals.
