Academic Experience: I like the major here and the professors are always available to answer any questions you may have

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: My specific major right now is to obtain my associates in science and then transfer to pharmacy school. Many people are not going into my major which makes it hard for me to relate to others. But, every science course I have taken so far, has connected back into my major in some way which is very interesting for me to discover. The workload is a lot to accomplish in two years but it's manageable if you are responsible about your priorities. Just because it's community college does not mean it's easy. I have had VERY difficult courses here and it's helped me in the long run. The professors are very willingly to build a connection with you as a student and as a person.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: My major is nursing and I am preparing to transfer to a four year university. There are many students at Moraine Valley that are going in to nursing. SO far, i feel like the workload is acceptable and the curriculum is important.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I plan to major in biology which is great because there are a wide variety of biology classes and other science classes i can take to progress in my career. I have taken a good chunk of the science classes at Moraine and all of the teachers i had were very intelligent and knew how to break things down for the students to understand the content. The workload for these classes are significantly more than the other classes i have taken, but that is understandable considering the content is more difficult to learn. I am glad they offer so many classes not only for my major, but so many others as well.

Academic Experience: Being a community college, the workload is probably significantly lighter than a four-year university, but then again, it depends what kind of classes you take and how many. You can always challenge yourself by performing extra research, reading, etc. Moraine also has a great Job Resource center.
