This is the absolute worst technical college around. The staff are extremely rude and uneducated including the instructors! The classes have too much homework and therefore, the instructors will not help you out with questions or even worse expect other students to grade or help out with your questions. I am not paying the students for their lack of knowledge, I am paying the school for their knowledge.

I consistently get wrong information from the student services, financial aid, and academic advisers. When I finally chase a person down at this school to help out, they are rude and get their information wrong. They have no respect for the money and time you pay to attend. The attitude at this school is figure everything out by yourself because I am too busy to help you out. The instructors cannot even keep track of your grades. If you do not keep on top of your instructor to grade your paper that you submitted on time, they will fail you and blame it on you for not reminding them to grade your assignments. The school believes that everything is up to you to accomplish and to some degree it is. However, I do believe that you should be able to ask questions and you should not have to chase your teacher down to grade your work because that should be the teacher's job to do.

The only reason I am attending this school is because I have so many credits here that will absolutely not transfer to UWM. If you have to, only take the general ed. classes and then transfer to a better school where they will respect you as well as the money you spend. They also consistently get their information wrong and if you do not know better they do not care if they mess up your financial aid, so be very careful to monitor everything they do at this school.

Expect that no one can help you here because they do not know enough about financial aid. They frequently get their own Tuition and Financial Aid paperwork and due dates wrong. Do expect that when you try to explain what had happened and why they got your information wrong, they will be mad at you, blame you and put you in voice-mail because they cannot deal with the fact that they have worked for the school for a very long time and still do not know the proper information or even proper communication etiquette. However, if you stay on the people in financial aid and student services you will eventually get the right person who does know what is going on and they will fix things only if you stay on top of it. I get all my financial aid done ahead of time and they still get it wrong every year and push me to the very limit of deadlines with their unprofessional and lack of work or respect for your own life. I know other people who go through the exact same thing with this school every year as well. Unfortunately, I have so many credits here that will not transfer to another school so I feel stuck!

Their are some exceptions at this school, in general, though I felt that anyone who works at MPTC is very uneducated and rude. They do not want to go out of their way to help you and give you the wrong information and get upset if you ask questions. I feel it is a schools job to know information and pass it along to their students. My experience with this school was that they take your money and tell you they are too busy with their other students to help you out and get upset if you demand that they help you. This really is a terrible school and I strongly urge that if you are considering this school to go and check out MATC. This school is basically a no other options seriously, run very fast somewhere else! They do not and will not help you out with finding a job as they expect that is your job to do. Expect to chase down every single person you encounter and many excuses will be given as to why they have no time to help you and they do not care. However, their is some type of recourse for their absolute criminal lack help. They do offer some type of reimbursement if you do not find a job within six months of graduation. They did get a new dean so, I am unsure if they still offer the reimbursement, but this was true as of 2011.
