Academic Experience: The Mental Health Program was the best thing I did in my college career

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Overall really good, classes are smaller, teachers are generally good

Academic Experience: I changed majors twice already and now I'm doing it a third time. The guidance counselors do not really know what they are talking about and I was driven to a major that did not work for me in both cases: accounting then architecture. I am continuing the major of construction management with no desire to move forward in it, but simply because it is the closest in terms of credits to graduate; I'm stuck with it. I'll be taking the STEM math and science courses I need outside of my major to transfer into an engineering program on my own. I wish they would have been more informative when I started and less eager to simply let me figure it out. In either case I lucked out- almost none of the engineering courses transfer to other universities so my skipping them and doing the prerequisites only is saving me one headache. Some students look for direction when they ask for help, not just for someone to listen to them and that point is missed every time I talk with a counselor.

Academic Experience: The professors are great. I absolutely love and respect the hell out of them both for the intelligence they posses and their ability to command a room full of adults in arrested development. I have not had a single professor here that has not made my education more fulfilling or enriching. This is the one thing Montgomery College has going for it.

Academic Experience: love the student to teacher ratio
