5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: College is going great so far! I love how all the professors know each and every person that walks into his or her class. MSU-N is a really great, friendly school that I would recommend to any of my friends! Great people, great location! All in all I love my choice I made in college and I plan on spending these 4 years happy!

Off-Campus Housing: There is not much available for college students. you almost have to know someone to get a decent place to live. cost is ridiculously high and its impossible to meet rent and go to school full time. there are no housing options that are decent anywhere close to Northern.

Off-Campus Dining: There arent any dining options near the school, most you need a car to get to, and the lines are usually too long and you dont tend to get your lunch in time and it makes you late for class. pricing is not that great and quality is awful. its best to eat at home, in the dorm, or try to catch the cafeteria hours.

Scholarships: the financial aid office clearly showed me everything i needed to get done and helped me get there. it was an incredibly easy process.

Off-Campus Housing: Living off campus is awesome! However, finding housing is hard and sort of long process.

Administration: As long as you don't do anything to stupid you'll be just fine.

Health & Safety: YOU NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT CRIME OR PEOPLE STEALING STUFF. Have never locked my car doors. once left my ipod in school weight room for a full week, was still in the same spot.

Local Area: Havre is a very small town. However, has very lovely people. The college is great at supporting students. You will find lifetime friends here. You will make lifetime memories here. HAVRE IT'S THE PEOPLE!

Off-Campus Dining: Havre is a small town, so not too many places to eat. Lots of fast food places!

Administration: I think MSUN has a perfect balance of strictness!

Overall Experience: I do like the environment of our campus. I do not like the fact that it is such a hassle every semester for financial aid. I feel that most of the advisors are a joke. they don't really advise, or know critical stuff. they expect you to know that. which is ridiculous.

Weather: It is always windy. that is my big complaint. Not just a light wind, but wind that makes you look like medusa if you wear your hair down. being originally from the high-line, I am used to the winters and summers. -40 winters to 100+ summers.

Athletics: I honestly do not have the time to participate in athletics. I am pursuing my future in Nursing. But school spirit is strong, especially from the citizens

1 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: off campus housing is rough. there are a lot of "bad" neighborhoods. crappy apartments for high prices. there is no help through the school. the school is really irritating in a lot of areas because the specialists more often than not "don't know". Seriously.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: It is tough being a nursing major. not only are our schedules chaotic, and not organized, but it feels like the students are in a dark room trying to feel their way into the degree. there is no clear path when in the courses

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Alcohol is our main problem, being such a rural area doesn't give the college aged students much to do. there aren't any places just for those who are in between/
