3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: The only "off campus" housing are fraternity/sorority housing or an "apartment" complex one block away from the campus.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are mainly chain restaurants but enough local places to go to.

College Freshman

Party Scene: There are of course reckless parties in the upperclassmen dorms. The fraternity parties do not get too out of hand and most are extremely welcoming and drinking is minor.

3 College Freshman

Administration: I would prefer is this campus was a "dry campus" it is very easy to obtain alcohol and drugs which does often get students in trouble, a minor fine. They should have no tolerance.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: There is a wide variety of scholarships offered at this school. There are performing arts, scholarly, transfer, or fraternity scholarships with very generous amounts.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: There is definitely enough to eat, but the overall quality is lacking. The best meal time is breakfast.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Cleland Hall has very flawed rooms where some rooms have more space than others leaving the awkwardly set up rooms (with a furnace and cable in awful locations) can be crammed.

College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Students are not allowed to live off of campus unless living with parents or spouse.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: For a smaller town, Monmouth has quite a few options for food. Many of the places offer student discounts and many deliver right to campus. Most students tend to like the pizza restaurants in town but there are other options if you are willing to go out.

Administration: Campus security has become more strict since I started at Monmouth College, although it is needed at some points, they have began to shut down everything even if it is harmless. They are very strict about parking, usually receive a ticket within an hour of being in a parking spot that is not designated for students. Academic honesty is a big policy at Monmouth College, it is not tolerated at all. Most professors take attendance and expect students to be attending classes. If you are not going to be in class some professors want an email explaining why.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Even though the tuition is higher, financial aide is a great help at Monmouth College. Many students are able to fulfill their work study and all students are guaranteed an academic scholarship.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: People are willing to go out and have a good time and usually everyone tends to meet up in a few certain places. Everyone tends to have their groups that they stick to but that is not always a bad thing. The RA's and security usually have all parties big or small closed down by 11PM or midnight.

Campus Food: Compared to many other small schools, Monmouth has a pretty good selection for food and usually has an option for everyone between the cafeteria and all the other options included in the meal plan and flex dollars. Although, there is only one cafeteria it is usually decent food and many options. During the weekend food options are not as good as they are throughout the week and hours are much shorter. Einsteins is the best food and drinks on campus but is very expensive for the amount of flex dollars many have on their plan. Being able to buy more flex is ideal but can also add up.

Campus Housing: After visiting other colleges, Monmouth has much larger dorm rooms compared to many, the rooms have much larger closets and dressers. They are well kept and as usual get better as upperclassmen. The only downfall about Monmouth College dorms is that many underclassmen dorms are not air conditioned. The social atmosphere is great because everyone is required to live on campus all four years.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I do not know much about the off campus housing but my friends say it's very affordable and nice.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a great pizza places in town and they are very well priced especially for students.

4 College Freshman

Administration: The school policies are pretty strict especially when it comes to academic honesty.

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: The financial aid is really good and they work with you if there is any problem.

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: The fraternity complex is a great place for parties along with the upperclassman dorms.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Most the time it just seems like the same thing day in and day out.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: This college has a lot of history and community involvement.

1 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Most students live on campus or at home in town.
