Off-Campus Dining: Really all we have off-campus is nothing but fast food and sit down restaurants, and as a broke college kid you do not have the money to go off-campus and eat as much.

Off-Campus Dining: There is anything you could want in Springfield! Depending on how much you are willing to spend of course. My "GREAT" rating comes from the amount of high quality food vendors and variety of food. A couple things to remember:

1 Tortillarilla on Sunshine is Awesome. get the chicos tacos

2 the chinese is kinda so-so UNLESS it is from China Wok on Scenic Ave. Quite a drive from campus but it is worth it.

Off-Campus Dining: Springfield is a decent size and plenty of things are open late at night on the weekends. Jimmy John's, Insomnia Cookies, Steak N' Shake, and Hurtz Donuts are all open until the waning hours of the night. Because this is southwestern Missouri bible country, things are dead on Sundays.

Off-Campus Dining: There are great discounts for students. There are not a lot of options if you want to sit down somewhere and enjoy a nice dinner. Everyone rants about how good Andy's Frozen Custard is; however, I wasn't a huge fan of it.

Off-Campus Dining: I've ate at a couple of places that I've never heard of before, but for the most part, there's a ton of fast food chain restaurants near the main strip, fairly close to campus.

In terms of off-campus dining in Springfield, there are the typical fast food restaurants near campus. Taco Bell, Subway, Burger King, Domino's, and Hardee's are within walking distance. Taco Bell is open until 3 a.m. on the weekends, for those night owls.

If you drive a little bit, there are more fast food restaurants. There are also a ton of great sit-down restaurants near campus. At the beginning of each semester, coupon books are passed out. They have great deals on local places, most of them restaurants. Springfield has a large variety, and the prices are great. The town caters towards the students.
