My school is one of the youngest HBCU's in the country and strive off of out of state students to help flourish the campus, academic standings, involvement, pride, and sports teams. Mississippi Valley is a small school where you get the chance to get to know everyone and expand your boundaries to new adventures. The greatest experience for me is when we host volleyball games at home and the gym is fully packed, everyone engaged from start to finish. If I had the chance to go to another school I simply would based on the fact that my major isn't offered at Mississippi Valley. Other than that downfall, I would stay at my institution and continue to set an example for younger colleagues to strive for their dreams.

Coming from a single parent house hold was a struggle itself. After completing high school , I was nervous because I knew I couldn't afford college and my mother was only receiving a first of the month check for her learning disabilities. After talking to a few of the admissions staff, they promised me that I would be okay . The admissions staffs took time out of their day to make sure I was okay . I received help with completing my documents to receive loans for school. The teachers at MVSU are amazing. If you're struggling with a homework assignment , extra help is always available . Each teacher is willing to give out extra help when needed.
