Student Body: Most of the students are between the ages of 18-25 and are doing undergraduate classes to transfer to a 4-yr college/university.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is standard at a community college level. The financial aid process at the school is very intimidating. The financial aid department, the business department, and the counseling center do not work cohesive for the benefit of the student. The navigation through these departments can be daunting.

Career Services: There isn't any Career Services for this degree program. No internship which would be beneficial to the student upon completion because it is required prior to certification. No study program for testing certification. No real follow through. The costs of the education is standard but, that is not the ONLY costs. Manuals, certification testing, association memberships are costly. These additional costs are not stated clearly and can overwhelm a potential student of this program.

Academic Experience: My major is Medical Billing and Coding. My program is a technical program that I consider self-paced. There are no internships for this program and no follow-up for the graduate upon completion of the program. The skills you receive are basic and without an internship prior to graduation the program fails the graduate.

Academic Experience: The academic curriculum for Medical Billing and Coding is sound but is structured as a 2-year program. Not all classes are offered each semester.

Campus Resources: The Jefferson Davis Campus is a small campus. It serves its purpose as a learning institution.

Campus Resources: I am in love with my school. I think I made the right decision for me.

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: I do not think I will take another online course as I do not get as much from the online course as the traditional classroom.

Tuition & Financial Aid: There were times that I tried contacting the financial aid by phone and was never able to do so. I am a working student I cant always get into the office. With that said utilizing the phone is the way I have to go and it would be great if they were more accessible by phone.

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: The academic flexibility could be just a little bit more flexible for the working class student that are full time parents as well. I feel as if I deserve to get this education just as much as the next person.

Career Services: The assistance that I received from the last school attended which was a career college, It was not such a good experience. I did not get to transfer my credits nor did the career services work for me.

Not that pleased with Virginia College at Gulf Coast Biloxi.

Overall Experience: I am pleased with my admission process to the school I'm currently attending, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. My financial aid has been approved and has posted. I am in my second semester and doing great. Looking forward to completing this process in a few years.

Campus Resources: Like i said before, this is a very small college so even the resources are relative to the student body.

Student Body: Our student body is a very close knit group of people because this is such a small community.

Online Courses: Our school system, canvas, does not work half the time and when it does, it's just one big hassle to do online work.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The professors here are always kind and willing to help a student.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I haven't had to deal with the hassles of transferring yet ,but so far, my classes and scheduling haven't been too bad

College Senior

Career Services: My college does not supply a post-grad education.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I attend a community college so it's not that specific to my major. I take general maths as well as generic sciences to help me with the basics of my major.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: All of my classes are good and teach the lessons very well.

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The school has tutors to help you and I usually work with other classmates to get extra help

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: We have online registrations for our classes which makes it a lot easier than going to the school

4 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is fine I just don't like the out of state fee I get charged when the school is the closest college to me

5 College Freshman

Online Courses: I love the online hybrid classes

5 College Freshman

Student Body: The school has a wide range of races and religions
