5 College Junior

Health & Safety: I feel extremely safe on campus.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Feel safe, but thats due to the area and not because of campus safety. All they want to do is sit in their cars until they see a chance to write a parking ticket.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I live in a very secure environment and feel safe on & around campus. Campus is always visible to make me feel safe at all times. There is sufficient lighting around campus, and most students don't give me any reason to feel unsafe.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel very safe on campus.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I feel that we have one of then safest campus' around. If you ever feel unsafe you can call campus safety and have them walk you to wherever you need to go, however I feel that this is not really needed. We have a very small/ compact campus and it feels very secure.

Feeling safe at Misericordia is like feeling safe in your own home. No student living on campus would say it any differently. It is so safe at Misericordia that students can walk around campus at 2 a.m. without a worry in the world. Campus Safety is on patrol all night, and because the campus is so small, officers must pass every building more than 50 times per night. Safety is definitely not an issue, and if students didn't feel safe for some reason, they could call the Campus Safety Escort Service to give them a ride back to their dorm or car. There really isn't an area on campus that isn't safe; however, the walk down to the townhouses on the edge of campus might make some feel uneasy due to the lack of lighting.

The Health Center is just as good as Campus Safety. Students can walk in with any concerns, and no appointment is needed. A nurse is always on duty during Health Center hours, and a doctor comes in for an hour every day to check out students. Staff in the Health Center is always friendly and willing to help students out with whatever they need.
