Tuition & Financial Aid: Okay the financial aid process the first year I went to MiraCosta was a breeze, no problem, they paid for my $500 semester, it was crazy. Then the second year they paid for both semesters (around $1,200) but then they made me fill out extra papers in a process called verification. They flagged something that didn't perfectly match I guess, that day I got an email (nearing the end of the semester mind you) that it had all been retracted and all the money was due now, because they put all my transfer transcripts on hold, which freaked me out. It was ridiculous they expected me to pay that much out of the blue. However after meeting personally with the head director of the financial aid program with my mom, and having him explain why they hand all the money out first then check is that they are trusting and they want to help. Although I didn't have the most awesome experience they are really down to earth, and they are trying to help.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I honestly am not aware of what the tuition at my school is like because i have the income level that allows me to have my tuition waved, so my financial aid really helps me in that sense. The office itself where you get information and turn in applications for your financial aid has a woman that leads the entire office and is not very approachable, so it can be uncomfortable to deal with. The only tip there is to get your financial aid is to submit your FAFSA before the priority deadline.

Tuition & Financial Aid: All the costs are very manageable. Financial aid is very helpful and the couple times I have been there they have been patient and have well thought out answers. They even offer to personally help you fill out your fafsa. One thing that is important is that if they ask for extra documentation get it in as soon as possible.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition fee is reasonable. I don't receive any financial aid, so I think it's a reasonable price and the money that comes out of my parents' pockets is worth it.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I haven't really applied for financial aid, but I do hear it's pretty good. I will have to test it out myself.
